Calvin Murphy, Arvydas Sabonis, Bill Bradley, and the Immaculata College women's basketball team are in the Hall of Fame. I'm pretty sure they let in anyone who's ever dribbled a basketball at this point

Disappointing game by Kawhi for sure. He has the road games to redeem himself.

Really? Calling him "austistic" and "re ed"?

I wonder who is the re ed...a guy who was that clutch in the whole season or you thinking he's re ed.

You're talking to the wrong poster

i never called kawhi a re

Bottomline is, kawhi cant have an average SF type performance in the playoffs

So something that Kawhi was doing in the game 1, just forget in game 2?
He's frustrated about the non-call when he attacks the rim, but he still gets buckets in those plays.

Pop was resting him the whole regular season...Theory number one is simply discarded.
Yeah. Kawhi often settles. I've been calling out his lack of consistent aggressiveness with the dribble-drive all season. This isn't a new trend.

Kawhi averaged the most minutes on the team. And why is it a surprise to you that Pop would limit the minutes of his star players in the regular season? He's been doing it since '06. I agree it should be full bore minutes in the playoffs, so there has to be another reason why Kawhi was limited tonight. I'm thinking he's a bit banged up. There's no other plausible explanation, unless you really buy Pop=Senile/Stupid/Re ed. It's funny to claim he is in the heat of the moment, but I assure you he isn't.

I think you meant trying to cover for Danny's missed assignment. Anyone with half a brain knows Parker wasn't guarding Allen. Nice deflection though.

Can't even hit uncontested free throws award

Sure hope PATFO goes out in free agency to find Lamarcus a true second option, cause re ain't cutting it

Yes, that is another award Porker won:

2:42.0 Shooting foul by R. Allen (drawn by T. Parker) 99-97
    2:42.0 T. Parker misses free throw 1 of 2 99-97

Edit. Sadly, this wasn't all game.

Pop never rested Tim in his 20's. Now he's resting a 24 years old. All the regular season. And playoffs. Just unbelievable.

About Pop being senile. No, he isn't. But he's not coaching at all.

Also, he has been horrible in late-games decisions the last three seasons.

Call a play to close a game or a quarter? Nah. Just give the ball to X player, without screens, without any team-work, making the player to realize how to score.
That's fine in the regular season but in playoffs? Just draw a ing play, Pop!

I don't think he was bad but he still needs to be better and we can't in any way expect LMA to continue shooting flawlessly.

I do also think that Pop's messy rotations this game had its worst effect on Kawhi who absolutely should have had at least 5 more minutes playing time.

I'm not going to deny he's been shaky, but, has it ever occurred to you that the players on the court may have screwed up the play that was called from the sidelines?

Really? What's about his series against Blazers, or the 2014 Finals?

    What's about this playoffs?

Of course, he didn't have "an average" performance before this game...Because he was beasting.

Tim was the only all-star level player we had then. Pop also learned from his mistakes of overplaying Tim and other key players during the regular season. Don't you want Kawhi to have a decade-long stretch of MVP candidate play? There's no way a 2 way player like Kawhi can play 37-40 minutes per game over 82 games and not burn out in 4 or 5 years.

I don't know what was up this game. I said in the game thread Kawhi should've played 45 minutes. I think he's a bit gimpy from that fall he took in game 1. Hopefully the 4 days rest heals him back up to 100%.

It's the only explanation. And if it's true, I'm okay with Pop being cautious. You don't risk further damage to what is probably a minor injury in game 2 of the 2nd round.

If Kawhi was indeed 100%. Then Pop is a dumb .
