Don't act like you didn't think LMA should be traded last year too though. He just went to Pop with what we all thought; that he wasn't a good fit. That's just not comparable to the that Kawhi has pulled. LMA thought he needed to go somewhere else to e successful and he and Pop figured it out instead. If Kawhi hadn't been such a this year and played I doubt Aldridge would be happy in his #2 role here. He pulled the same diva act with Lillard in Portland. Obviously I could never hate Aldridge the way I do Leonard though since Leonard's diva act is a couple orders of magnitude worse.

Now I'm confused about LMA's attempted trade. Did he ask for it or did he talk to Pop about his role after the Spurs tried without telling him or what?

Agree completely. If Kawhi is healthy, I don't even know if Aldridge makes it to the trade deadline last year with the Spurs.
