One of the truly great reads is the Conan stories by Texan Robert E. Howard. The 12 books is an amazing journey and nobody ever put you there better than Howard.
We first find Conan running from a pack of wolves***. they are about to close in when he comes upon some rocks. So he scrambles up, only to find a cave.............
I read the 12 books in a month, just one right after the other, but it took me a few years to find all 12, the search took me from Modesto to Bakersfield and all points in between, yep, in search of Conan. I wasn't going to start the read until I had all of them. I had to do it in order.
*** while Conan was a legit badass he was realistic bad....sorta. It was all he could do to whip a bull gorilla, and he might be able to deal with threeish thugs, but he wasn't in a Chinese flick kicking the out of flocks of bad guys. He could bleed.
He didn't say much, and roamed a fantastic world in the Hyborian age. Demons, wicked sorcerers, wicked women, all kinds of monsters, freaky Gods, giants, cruel dwarfs, Kings, pirates, amazing cities, desolate deserts, incredible mountain ranges, jungles full of creepy crawlers, it was all there.
If heroic fantasy is your thing then you've already read the books. Because that is where ya start.

I saw this way back in the day, and never saw it again until just a couple years ago. It really is something unique a must see.
They did clean it up and it's in HD now, just not the trailer.
The movie, and this is how I watched it a couple years ago.

Looks like a cluster . Trying to replicate ragnarokalso this looks like it’s going to be the tiest DC movie yet. They could at least make a decent trailer for BvS and Suicide Squad, but even Aquaman’s trailers are ing terrible
