you're correct. i don't ever remember seeing him throw up shots like those time and time again during his first stint here. those shots are horrible and he should've been benched for future games anytime he lobbed those shots into the air. pop loves him i guess.

First off all, that comment was clearly ing around. Second, if journalists inform that Carroll got signed as a free agent what are fans suppossed to think? As soon as information got clarified that it was actually a sign and trade, most knowledgeable posters started to make more sense of it. In fact, many predicted the Morris signing before it was anounced.

Not only me, tbh. A lot of folks knew the Spurs had to had a big MLE signing after doing a sign a trade for a guy they already had for free, and the only name that made sense was Morris.

between the additions of carroll/morris, re-signing of gay, and drafting of sammich... bertans didnt have great short term or long term prospects as a power forward here anyway. guess the positional overload made it easier for them to part with davis over marco, despite the former being the better player. their contracts were very similar, but also possible carroll made that extra mil a sticking point. he could get 7 mil in a sign and trade with bertans, and 6 mil in a sign and trade for marco. considering he had already had 2/13 in the bag, makes sense all things considered
still a clear upgrade and good move by PATFO
