Spurs have no chance at winning either of the games in Denver
Looking at the schedule, something like 5-20 over the next 25 games is realistic. No way we get close to 10 wins during that stretch.
It's about to get really ugly. I predict the worst losing streak in franchise history.
Hey. You’ll probably be saying this on Monday after they lose to the CAVS.
Yeah it’s going to get ugly you got LMA balling with the Nets you got a unhappy Lyles on the team you lost what 7 of your last 9 games played at home an now most games on the road sprinkled with back to back. You got a coach who doesn’t have a clue and the young players are going to get feed up real quick ie Murray, Luka, and Walker
Even though Indiana was minus their three leading scorers they're still an NBA team. Think about that. The Spurs took an NBA to OT and only lost by 6. That's a damn good feat
Buy them out and let them go to contenders and play the kids...
I don’t know what changes Pop was talking about at the beginning of the season. Instead of Forbes/Belli, it’s Mills/Rudy. It’s still over reliance on offense vs defense.
And do we have good defensive guards? It’s like all the guards beat us. Vassell could be that instead of Patty getting abused every night.
Are you saying that the Spurs are not a NBA team?
Spurs should be grateful they took the indiana pacers of the eastern conference to ot and only lost by two three pointers. Now thats a silver lining
Two three pointers? That's 3 Spurs shots!!
I'm as big a Luka doubter as anyone on this board.
But I don't blame him entirely for his performance tonight. Any big who plays with Rudy and wants to shoot will get frozen out. , Gay used to completely freeze out White back in his 2nd year, every rebound was 'point rudy time' and he wouldn't even give up the ball.
And players who don't get passed the ball when they should in the offense, end up rushing and taking bad shots to try and make up for it. On top of other mistakes.
Even as a Luka doubter the team would be better off if his was playing, to figure out what he's got before it's too late.
Look at Pop's terrible handling of White and Murray. All they had to go on to see if they could play together was the bubble, an atypical situation. Because Pop refused to play them together the rest of the season. Now they're stuck, and it's unclear how well they can play together, at least with DDR mucking things up.
spurs' dirty little secret is that opposing teams' guards FEAST on our supposedly defensive-oriented back court
No kidding. It’s like when Spurs lose, it’s an athletic guards killing us. Even bad teams with athletic guards manage to beat us.
spurs guards outscored 86-57 points tonight by indiana guards.
LOCKDOWN DEFENSE
I just want a high draft pick and for Pop to ing retire
ON to the next One !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGS GGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSGGSG
high draft pick for what??? For popovich to pick someone and put him at the end of the bench for the next 2 years?
impressive homestand tbh
Season’s over. Those praying for the tank might just see it.
jesus the Spurs have been bad since returning from covid.
At some point we gotta start questioning why this team is bad on defense, White this year has been below average on defense, one screen and he is out of the play.
Murray, the last few games or so also hasnt been that good, overplaying too much at times, he still needs to get stronger, he gets abused quite a bit in the post
Poelt is a really good rim protector but he really struggles at times defending the pick and roll.
The most frustrating thing about this team is them jogging back on defense (Gay is especially guilty of this) while the other team pushes it down getting easy layups and threes.
Keldon below average-average.
Vassell has the same issue as Murray, really good but needs stronger in the offseason
Derozan, Mills, Gay on defense yuck.
Another L, good
Does it matter? Even when he does, he still got benched for several games, even while the vets muck it up
