What's weird is that the Spurs have been loading up on SFs this summer. Osman and Bullock are better than replacement level but them, along with guys like McDermott and maybe Keldon (on top of Champagnie of course), make that position very crowded.

This is what I really don't get.

SF you have Keldon/Sochan so one will start one will come off the bench (Keldon at SF/Sochan at PF) which would leave room for ONE of Osman/Bullock/McDermott/Champagnie at SF or PF. Even if Bullock could play minutes at SG he'd be competing with Branham. Why wouldn't we rather play Branham/Champagnie at SG/SF or PF than Osman/Bullock/McDermott? I guess Osman is intriguing enough at 28 to keep around maybe in a KBD role but I would look to trade Bullock. McDermott fits as the veteran who can occasionally be instant offense and knock down shots or play at SF/PF if someone is hurt.

I hate to put it this way, but Branham is starting to look like an empty calories scorer who gives up at least as much on the other end.

I sure hope this doesn't end up being the case.

Sometimes this place acts like it’s all star or bust. To me Branham is a success if he can average 14 off the bench. The kinda guy who could get hot and put up 20-25 on any given night but might put up 5 the next but generally gives you a nice punch when needed.

Yea but in his second year in summer league first round talent were hes the majority shooting shots and making plays...were hoping he
steps up....hes not suppose to score 5....Hes suppose to be better then that.
