I want the Mavs to lose this game because, well...one, the Mavs.

But it would just be the cherry on top of the -sundae that Nico Harrison whipped up when he gifted Luka Doncic to the Lakers.

I feel like Nico truly doesn’t care deep down and got a secret payday from the NBA to allow Luka to be traded to the Lakers. The real ones suffering from all this are hardcore Mavs fans.

I've been saying it's collusion since the day the trade was announced.

Nico Harrison...buddies with Rob Pelinka (GM for Lakers)...former Nike exec for Kobe Bryant.

Randomly decides to offer Luka Doncic "while having a cup of coffee" with Pelinka. Doesn't insist on Austin Reaves or more draft picks because of Luka's "conditioning".

Doesn't float any offers out to other teams "for fear word will get out"

The whole thing is shady, but I'm sure he is getting some money under the table to make it happen and is scrambling to play damage control.

    Yep real shady .

And all we can do is sit back and take it while Silver and the Lakers bask in all the glory.

I so desperately want them to fail that I would rather see Nephew ring again. It would be bull if LeBron gets a 5th ring to do what he’s been doing his entire career which is that he needs more help and gladly dumps teammates once they reach their usefulness to him. Sadly they are one of few teams that have a chance at winning it all this year.

Also at Zach “better than Fox” Lavine. Lol kings fans.

Dallas over Memphis and Miami over Atlanta is best for the Spurs (Atlanta) pick

Spurs end up tied with Sacramento for 12/13 with another 6% chance for a top 4 pick

That will bump the Spurs close to a 1 in 3 chance at a top 4 pick

The kings losing this 9-10 play in game would be so funny and ironic.

It would be the equivalent of them pissing away the 11 or 12th draft pick for nothing while having essentially full ownership/control of it by just losing 1 or 2 extra games down the stretch.

All to have the 9-10 game at home instead of on the road.
What a god awful horrific franchise the Kings are. Literally just pissed away the 11/12th pick in the draft for a Hail Mary chance at getting swept in the first round against the Thunder.

Good on B Wrong keeping that 2031 Kings swap. That’ll be juicy when it hits.

not getting their 2031 swap back
not getting the 2025 Hawks or Spurs pick
not even (fake) insisting on Castle in the deal

    However...

Both teams should be willing to trade for tank commander Keldon Johnson, because their only path is to clear out the room. Who are we intersted in ? Vucevic ? Valanciunas ?

    those rosters are so bad

Valanciunas has been in the play-in every year, so if Spurs get him...BOOM, automatic play-in!

We should trade them Demar for Branham, Wesley, and a 2026 SRP! (j/k that's probably a net negative for us)

Looking at the situation in the West, we could easily be the top4 seed right away if we hire the right coach and get a couple high end role players.

    Jazz will still be tanking.
Pelicans just hired Joe Dumars as a GM.
Kings just fired their GM and will probably blow it up.
Suns are done with no way to improve.
Mavs will certainly implode at some point, due to AD's health if anything.
Blazers are trending upwards, but don't have enough talent. I guess if they get lucky with a top4 pick.

Grizzlies have a lot of issues and tough decisions to make with contract extensions.
Timberwolves are in a similar situation.
Nuggets are in an even worse roster situation, but will be relevant as long as Jokic is there.

Warriors have one more year of pretending in them.
Clippers look great right now, but nephew is turning 34 and Harden will be 36.
Lakers are fundamentally flawed, but I'm sure they'll scam another idiot GM into getting some legit role players for nothing.

Obviously not all of these teams will trend downwards, but I'd say top6 seed should be an expectation next season.

Yeah, don't think Rockets can win the series if the games are a nip-and-tuck affairs that comes down to a possession or two. Let's face it, the ratings are deep in Adam Silver mind and he is just not gonna let the golden goose opportunity of Warriors-Lakers series slip by. Honestly, If that Doncic-to-Lakers has a 'collusion element' to it, the league had a sneaky facilitating role somewhere in. That ratings narrative was getting too loud and started to dominate the airwaves and social media. The solution? Set up the Lakers for the next decade
