Probaly worth more if you melt it down and make it into a chain.
you guys remember that ghill card where it was gold plated all over, damn it looked nice for aus$100 buck that time, i wonder how much its worth now...
Probaly worth more if you melt it down and make it into a chain.
Only a brother would do that.....
Say you have a rare insert card, and then you get it to a game and have the player sign it, does it appreciate the cards value or depreciate its value???
Nah a brother would melt it down and cap his teeth with it, but as for your question I'm guessing it would raise the value as long as you got the proof of autograph and all that stuff. Not really sure, ask mouse hes the man.
Currently mouse is hybernating at home over mavs win

Are you sure? when he was a rookie he couldn't cover !
I have a Shaq college card and his rookie card. They've been stored at my parents' house for like 13 years. I have so many Michael Jordan cards, too. But the demand for sports cards isn't like it used to be, and it's nearly impossible to sell them for what they're worth.
But that idea about having them graded is an awesome idea. All my cards that were ever worth anything have been in hard-case, anti-UV cases since the day they were purchased. I'm all about selling them for $16,000 each LOL.
By the way, who would buy cards for that much anyway? Where would I go sell it?
I am still on the look for a nice Mark Price autographed card myself.
True that about John Stockton.
I got a card signed by him in person (not by me) and the authentic dual signature card together with D-Rob.
Damn Base, that's one fine list of autographs to have gotten in person!
He came to a Men's Baptist Retreat as one of the guest speakers back in 1992 (I was only a child).... and signed a 1991 Upper Deck common. He is another player who doesn't issue many 'insert' autograph sets....
Stockton wasn't that tough when I got it... but then again, it was maybe his 3rd or 4th year in the league when I got it. Same with Jordan. Larry Bird was really tough. I didn't get it until myabe the fourth or fifth try. Kareem absolutely refused to sign anything, and I tried at least 10 times with him. Finally I mailed a card to him for a signature, but I'm 99% sure it was signed by his secretary or something, because the signature looked different from the facsimile sig printed on his NBA-licensed posters I saw for sale at Hemisfair. The players outside of SA who seemed to appreciate their fans the most IMO were probably Magic, Dr. J, Sir Charles, and Frank Layden - that guy was cool as to fans.
I have a signed Greg Maddox card, that is about it.
nice post!
Who is better to grade cards? PSA or BGS?
Did you get a Kobe card in your box of cards you bought?
Nah, 2 Iversons though. Kobe card coming in mail this week.
Good cus PSA charges $100 to become a member and send cards in. BGS is free, just pay for the damn grading.
Basketball Cards are a waste of money.
"I got a card signed by him in person (not by me) and the authentic dual signature card together with D-Rob"
I don't care for graded cards.
