Tim with 9 points. WOW...just...wow. And it's not like he was bashful out there (17 FGA's). ing pathetic.

The Spurs winning this game really helps though. I don't know if I could have slept tonight if he shot like this and they lost.

Spurs shoot 40%, that really sucks, but most other categories are big winners,

    41% 3Gs (3Gs better the 2Gs!! weird)

    18 AST/37 FG

RB 55 - 47 (LOTS of RBs, both teams didn't shoot for )

Tim can't show up, his PF must be killing him. His RBing alone won't be enough in the playoffs. We need his offense and defense.

I was just kidding. They didn't need him to score tonight so it worked out.
He still had a pretty good defensive game, and had a few dimes.

I'm still hoping to see Tim's trademark game, and I am praying it wasn't the 21, 20, 10, and 8 against the nets in 03, although that would be tough to beat.

If the rest play this good, Tim can have a few off nights. Spurs -4 vs Dallas?

    "play this good"

Spurs shots 40% @ATT against lottery dreck, that's good? The Spurs FG% has been low 40s to 30s several times since Christmas. The offense and shooting ain't clicking at all.

Man, reading over these last few pages I would've thought the Spurs had lost

People seemed to forget that Tim had bad games in LAST year's playoffs as well. However, despite 3 ankle sprains, he managed to show up when needed...notably Game 7, 4th quarter of the Finals. If guys like Finley, Barry, even Rasho continue to bring some points off the bench, that takes a load off Tim. Many Spurs fans seem to think that Tim Duncan needs to shoot 50% from the field, score 20+ and 10+ rebounds in order for the Spurs to win. However, Spurs have won plenty of games this season with Duncan playing sub=par. The point is, Spurs have a lot of offensive players now to make up for Duncan's sub-par play. Problem is, until recently, most of them weren't hitting their shots...which made Duncan's sub=par play more noticable.

This is simply people who are afraid of the unknown. What if Tim's foot causes him to play badly in the playoffs as well, or worse, what if he's never himself again. That's why people overreact to bad games from him.

'I would've thought the Spurs had lost"

no, just an unimpressive, ugly W @ATT.

It seems that Tim's ankle injuries last season weren't as hindering as his PF this season.

Spurs go nowhere without defense, and Tim has not been able to move around on defense, alter/block shots, etc. Several teams have beaten, even destroyed, the Spurs in paint points, and the Spurs lost most of those games. Those are games where Tim might score (but mostly score low), but not in the paint but as a jumpshooter, and where he wasn't able to defend against paint scoring.

TD 4 blocked shots....guess he didn't alter tonight then. WTF? They just won by 17 and Tim didn't even have to go into double figures. Are we really wanting to win another championship or see Tim put up MVP numbers. I always thought if you can win convincingly without your best player scoring big points than that was a good thing. Wait a minute what if Tim was averaging 25 and 15 and we were winning would you then complain about how Tony isn't avg more points or the bench wasn't contributing or what-the- -ever else it would take to make you be a damn pessimist.

Erin Barry, Brent's brother and (I'm assuming) the brother's wife, came into the Terrace Club for dinner last night.

Erin is just stunning- so tall, and elegant, and nice too. Good choice Brent.
