I thought the show was OK. The getting hit by a bus and room scenes were pretty ed up. I'm not as hyped for it now, but I will watch it.
I couldn't even remember if Desmond had survived that blast until they showed the recap..

Damnit! I had the opposite affect. I skipped a few episodes last season, wasn't that into it. I thought yesterday's episode was pretty damn good and now I'm hooked again!
Same here! I have been hooked on and off and right now, I am decidedly HOOKED again... especially since the producers have said they are going to sit down with ABC and see when they need to end the series.. which hopefully means some resolution!Damnit! Damn, what a great episode. I was initially put off because the whole thing was about Desmond, but the end was a jaw-dropper.
Here here... I was very hesitant when this episode started, but my fears were eased. I thought this is one of the better epsiodes Lost has ever given us.
Best show in a while. I was actually very excited about it BECAUSE it was about Desmond. I love him! he's my favorite character

I just liked the twist at the end. After Desmond saved Claire, I was wondering why he had to save her twice already. The final half of the episode explained it with an unexpected twist. Plus, the episode developed the Desmond character who had been somewhat of an enigma.
I didn't even think about Wonderwall's significance there, but it adds up.
They once again made Desmond look like Jesus when he was on the floor with his arms out which is another linking of him as a "savior".
I agree though, it was a solid episode.

Awesome.. I had to go back and watch that part again.. I never caught it. Why is Desmond the only one that remembers if they've all done this before? I wonder if the others will start to remember as well..
Stayed up until 11 (east coast) for that show when I had to be up in 4 hours....well worth it!
I had to watch it online just now cus I missed last night due to my nephew's b'day. Gotdamn, what a great episode! I will never quit marveling about the subtle things like the choice of "Wonderwall" as a song... it seems insignificant but if you watch the show, you know better.
Apparently activating the fail-safe has something to do with Desmond's Groundhog-Day experience on the island. That would explain why only he has the premonitions.

He saw Charlie get hit by the lightening in his preminition, and he saw Charlie go in after Claire and drown while attempting to save her...so he set up the lightening rod and he went in to save claire, thus preventing Charlie from entering the water (and drowning).
Not sure if the lady represents anyone..."death" maybe?
I think it's his fourth. From what I remember, the first time Desmond met Jack, Jack was worried that he hadn't kept his promise to Sarah by fixing her. Desmond implied to Jack that he had kept his promise and the next time Jack saw Sarah, she was moving her toes.
Crazy.
