Had to step out, but thanks for all the kind words.

I'm not interested in him having to feel isolated from the world or having to protect the likes of morons that put us in this situation to begin with.

Some of you will be happy to know that we are weaker, we are burying our kids everyday for no reason and there is no end in sight.

So feel comfortable about being considered the most ignorant saps in our schools future history classes.

I think Tillman is suggesting that anyone that supports this president is of equally low character.

Didn't W's parents ever tell him that lies will only bite you in the ass?

If Pat were still alive, I wonder if he would plant one of his patented running forearms to the head of Bush?

Good read. Its his opinion, hes en led to it. Him serving his country and losing a family member to the same operation makes his opinion a little more valid than my own, for example.

Take it for what its worth. Does it echo a large section of Americans? Sure. A majority? No idea.

He talked with his brother about everything. All the time. Right to the end. They always had that kind of relationship.

He knows what his brother would think.

Not really. I accept that there are differing viewpoints throughout the armed services -- I simply think it's impossible to get a real consensus of feeling and speak for them all given whatever tiny sample size anyone is exposed to -- Tillman's letter or tv snippets or nephew anecdotes.
Here another snippet to add to the mix:

Active troops ask congress to end Iraqi occupation

    tl;dr

the US Army lied and covered up their own responsibility for the death of Pat Tillman

A friendly fire death, a platoon's 20 years of trauma
