I don't think you can say that the Spurs breezed through the playoffs against the Suns. Some of your fellow Spurs fan thought Phoenix was the toughest team the Spurs played this year in the playoffs. Against the Cavs who are horrible, they won by nine, eleven, three and one point. I don't call that breezing by anyone.
I still disagree with you about Payton, he may have been great on defense but was not your classical point guard.

) and that he is a scoring point guard. Duncan covers up for any mistakes Parker makes in the defensive area. Parker doesn't usually guard Nash just like Nash doesn't guard Parker. I just think having Duncan would help any point guard look better on defense.
