Yeah, I am within walking distance of both Horace Mann and Woodlawn Elementary. My oldest nephew goes to Woodlawn, I live about 1/2 a mile from where he lives. I don't think this neighborhood is rough at all, its quiet and a lot of nice people. Now, on the OTHER side of the lake, it starts getting bad. But here, people actually mow their lawns, there are no car lawn ornaments and I haven't seen a single person wear a wife-beater.

The house right behind my buddies house is owned by some lady married to an illegal. My buddy said that he invited his brother in law for a cook out to his house once and he showed up in his Border Patrol SUV on purpose to scare them.
He said it was funny because they were cooking out too and they had real loud conjunto music going off, but everything stopped real quick when his brother in law came to his house.
