I don't think I could watch that video again. It made me feel queasy the first time

After reading some of the reports since the game, I'm feeling better about the situation. I have a feeling the MRI results will be positive...ummm, negative?
Yeah, well...I have a feeling it won't be as bad as we originally feared.

    Get well, Timmy!

This happened a year late. We could have had Oden.

All right, to be serious - I am pretty concerned, but I have high hopes and expectations that he'll be back in a few weeks, do not rush it, come back when it feels perfect for him to do so, let that be his choice.

Duncan is a winner so this won't take him out for his whole career, and his teammates and him know it.

Everyone that said Duncan's season and/or career is over because of this injury should get ready to turn in their Spurs after the MRI results later today.

    Duncan is the ultimate pro.

He waited Horry's return to get injured.

You guys act like Duncan was diagnosed with cancer or something...at worst, it's not like he's going to die. If his career is over...well nice job Tim, enjoy the rest of your life and thanks for the les. We've had more than our fair share of NBA les.

A little perspective here...in the grand scheme of things, it's just basketball.

Showing pictures of mourning Va Tech students in this thread is a little over the top, I think.

    Whit that Injury?

Must Pop move Manu to starter?

Whitout Duncan, the only scorer of the starters is Tony

Bowen isn´t, nor Finley right now and Nor Fabricio

Probably we need Elson as Center and Fabri to PF, Manu for Finley, and Horry and Bonner Big man´s Backup, Barry, Finley and Udoka for SG and Sf, and Vaughn for PG

Good to hear that Tim Duncan's injury(s) are not severe. However, it's too bad that he won't be available for the Wednesday night matchup with Dallas. It's always more enjoyable to watch both team at full strength.

    Good luck to both teams!

What really sucks is, I noticed Tim had some extra spring in his legs last night. One of the boards he got, he snagged that out of the air with authority, actually getting off the ground for it - not something you see too often with Tim, even though he is a great rebounder. A mark of his aggression was also seen in his FGA, he was being more selfish than I'd seen him be in a half all season, even though shots weren't falling. I loved it. I wish he'd do that more often. Back on topic, though. I remember going to the Pistons/Spurs game in '05 where he got injured and he was also extremely active early in that game. Same result. All I know is, I hope he's back soon. Real soon. Watching Duncan every other night is a privilege, and one of the only things I look forward to.

OK we're not completely out of the woods - MRI due today -but I'm fairly confident that nothing is seriously wrong and TD will miss some time but be back to normal within a month. I'm trying to be real positive on this!

Now this could be a blessing in disguise. With TD out others will now get more palying time- obviously. If - yes the proverbial if - we get others to step up, play well and gain more confidence in themselves this will benefit us come playoff time. Question is who will be the one. Hopefully Pop won't lean on TP and Manu too much while TD is out, considering the style of play that both use. Last thing we need is for one of them to get injured while playing extended minutes. I think Pop is too smart for that and will do what is neccessary ot get hrough this stretch without losing too many games while preserving the ehatlh of his key players. As stated so many times -its a marathon so treat it that way. Health first!

I don't think pop will extend them too much. TD went out pretty early and still Tony only played 35 and Manu 23.

Of course I realize this was Portland and they may have to log a few extended minutes against Dallas, but I think we will see some others on the team really step up and maybe play a little over their ability.

This will be a good time for Pop to find a rotation that doesn't include Duncan, just in case it would ever become necessary in the playoffs.

God forbid it ever becomes necessary, because without Duncan, the Spurs go nowhere in the playoffs.

I hope he's back by the Clippers game at the end of this month - I have tickets to see it. It's their only game while I'm in town.

I was relieved to see the knee was only a bruise. I can live with an ankle sprain - those are relatively easy to recover from. And bruises heal. But when they were calling it a knee injury, I panicked. Hope the MRI comes up clear.
