On the good side, he is professional and usually somewhat prepared. I like Wally off the air but dude was terrible solo. He just couldn't handle it.

KZDC SAN ANTONIO FLIPPING TO SPORTS RADIO

(January 16, 2008) Border Media Partners is ready to launch a new sports station in San Antonio on KZDC-AM on Feb. 4.
BMP going to change regional Mexican oldies KZDC (Radio Unica) to sports. Effective Feb. 4, the station will be known at ESPN 1250 The Zone. While featuring primarily syndicated ESPN programming, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the station will feature "Coach Paul Alexander,” who comes from KTSA, where he was sports director.
Also locally produced will be the 5-7 p.m. slot with a team show featuring Chris Duel, Jason Minnix and Dawn Murphy.
Again...i can't stress enough that Chris's show should be from 3 or 4pm to 6...maybe 7.
My prime radio listening hours are all day at work. I will tune in to radio while driving anytime from 4-6pm.
But I can see them starting small and expanding as needed...though beginning after the other show won't help.
During the time slot for his show
In men 25-54:
4.3 = #9 in the market
In men 35-44:
6.2 = #3 in the market, ahead of even WOAI.

If that's true, it's pretty impressive. I heard that in the past STSA pulled between a .7 and 2.5.
I was told that this is the first time that the 3-6 time slot on 760 has ever been in the top 10 for any demo.
That's easy considering there are only 10 shows on the AM dial altogether.
2 are country 3 are tejano 2 are politics 1 is religion 1 is hip hop and one is sports. and since there is no other sports show on in this city that award is not that impressive.

The breakdowns for demos aren't posted anywhere, as far as I could find. My buddy who works at KGNB in New Braunfels is the one who told me about the ratings.
If you go to radioandrecords.com, you can see the Arbitron ratings for all persons 12+...which Ticket jumped from a 0.9 last book to a 1.5. Again, this is based on all time slots with listeners 12+.

The National broadcast kicked off this morning. The local shows will not kick off until next week. BMP built us BRAND NEW studios and all of the equipment for the local shows is almost completed being put in. From what I am hearing around the building this equipment is top notch stuff
What was you using before S A?
