The local ESPN radio show is much better than Mike Taylor. I think it will surpass the Ticket. Mike Taylor is tired.

I stopped listening to the Ticket 760 a couple months ago ever since Mike Taylor was brought in from Dallas. I've listened to the Ticket ever since it went on the air, but slowly I stopped listening at all times of the day. The local show was the last show I listened to, until Taylor showed up.

I want to express my opinion on the need for Duel's show to begin at 3pm.
Truth be told, save for the initial 2 days of 1250, I do not listen to radio after 6 pm.
Although I must say in the way way past(Andy Everett->Thompson Brother's era) I did make it a point to listen to the Spurs pregame and postgame.
And to get the online stream up post haste. I listen to sports radio online at work all day long. Though I listen to the Dallas Ticket exclusively, I would most certainly tune in to local quality sports talk...and prior to 1250's arrival it was the Dallas Ticket...even to the point where I stream it through my phone plugged into my aux input in my car radio.

Nice job Tpark! That was great actually getting to listen to GOOD Spurs discussion on the radio for once. That's more depth on Spurs related stuff than the ticket has seen in the last 2 years added all together.

You could really add some e to the show if OS callers like myself, Slomo, Alamo and the Church of Manu could call up, as mouse suggested... although maybe San Antonians don't want that on their radio? I dunno... but I'd call if I could!
Good to hear ST personalities getting some play. Let's face it, there is not another site on the net even close to ST* when it comes to talk about and knowledge of the Spurs. Time some props came to ST.
* I can already sense the SR rent-a-crowd getting rowdy about that claim, but they know it's the truth - , it's self-evident!
I could not agree with Duel more. What we have going for us is we have LISTENED to the community for a long time and what they have been SCREAMING for and that is LOCAL TALK by LOCAL TALENT. While others say they are, for some reason they keep bringing in more and more folks from outside of San Antonio and outside of Texas for that matter and it goes all the way up to management. I know what I have been wanting to hear for a while when it comes to sports radio and we were not getting it.
As far as ads for ESPN, they swamped all of the BMP radio stations with promos and while I know you may say, what those are a lot of spanish talk stations, those also are a LOT of SPURS and SPORTS fans. Don't forget JACK-FM and KTFM.
Last but not least is the cheapest yet most effective way and that is WORD OF MOUTH. Not just from listeners but from the LOCAL EXPERTS and SPORTS Personalities in this town. They are a buzz with it and excited to help be a part of a NEW style of Sports Radio. I think the big test will come when ESPN has on SPORTS TALK on the air during the day and the others have on say a baseball game. Not everyone is baseball fans and even fans don't always care to hear a game on the radio. But most people who listen to SPORTS RADIO listen for SPORTS TALK.
It will be a lot of fun to watch, but be ready because the ads will come, so will the signs and the website will totally kick some serious ASS!!!

From the day I joined, I've seen that this group has always been a collective Duel supporter, and it's good to see the support is mutual. Any chancde you'll make a GTG appearance? You think Mouse is good on th radio... you should see what he does with a broom... not to mention Slovenian Pear Vodka, or whatever the that was....
