He's a FA at the end of the season. His options now are to go to the Nets or be persona non grata in Dallas. What good are those early Bird rights since the Mavs obviously won't be using it to sign him to an extension?

He might want another Ring his best shot would be to stay in Dallas vs Jersey. I know Mavs fans are pissed but it might be a blessing.
I wasn't in favor of this trade, but a half-consumated deal is the worst of both worlds. Our chemistry is ed if this trade dies.
him, this is bigger than his selfish ass.......he just ed his teammates, Coaches, managers, owners, fans, city and State that funded half of that ing american airlines bull center because he is a selfish ........I hope he ing goes to a ty ass ing team next year.
I think it will still be fine if it doesn't end up going down. Trades are almost going down all the time half the players in the NBA are being shopped for the right price.
People keep saying that, but it didn't show during tonight's game. Devean and Diop were both in good spirits, and no one seemed to be that angry with Devean, except Mark Cuban.![]()
If this trade doesn't go through, then almost as a default I'm in the mono/Mark Stein "they can't win as is" camp. And I in' HATE that, I sincerely believed that it was possible for them to make a deep run.
For the win. George is still a Laker at heart. He's ing the Mavs for the benefit of the Lakers. Make them use KVH's contract for this deal and the Miller deal up.
Mavs front office looks inane and sublime. It is a dumb trade to begin with now how are all the players who were to be sent to NJ supposed to forget they were traded for a 35 year old player so close to being over the hill it is not funny.
They're not a bunch of idiots playing around with RealGM's trade machine. No way they included George in the deal without running it by him. Say what you will about Cuban, but he's not a dumbass. George's agent told him to hold off, or he had a change of heart.
The only reasonable play for George is to accept the trade. Either he does that, or he gets buried on IR and blackballed for being such a .
And I'm really certain it's his dumbass agent slowing things down. In his postgame comments George even said that he was already packing up to leave.
Then maybe the "George blocks the trade" angle was hasty? He just wanted to talk it over with his agent first?

funny ass , but this trade will go down sooner or later, no worries. Harris and Diop gone for Kidd? Bring it on! haha.
Well technically he did. They were submitting the paperwork to make it official and George waited till the last possible minute to veto it. He had all day to tell them he wasn't ready to accept the trade just yet.
Now Donnie & Cuban have egg on their face because some idiot agent feels the need to research how his player sucks too hard for his Bird rights to mean .
thats funny
I almost hope he rejects this trade just so that the Mavs can him over in return. I'd love seeing him sit looking miserable in a suit every night as what little value he has ing drops to zero. Then the Mavs let him go into free agency with a nice "see what kinda money those Bird Rights get you now, asshole".
George did us a favor. Relax.
off. Jason Kidd is coming here and there's nothing you or Devean George can do about it.
LMAO at George's statline last night...
0-11 shooting, 0-4 on threes, 0-2 on FTs, for a whopping total of 0 points.
After the game he had the nerve to tell everyone he was "distracted".....well of course that asshole was distracted, he created the ing distraction!
I know... what a .
However, the more I look at it, I think it was his agent telling him to do all this. Just by seeing his interview and the comments he made, almost everything went back to him saying that his agent wanted to look deeper into this, etc...
