We actually took control of the ball 2nd half and dominated.
We shoved a bit to far up and got burned, but we were definitely theaggressors.
Klinsman is getting a lot from a pretty bottom of the barrel bunch imo.
Mexico will be very difficult with a new manager they want to impress, and without Bradley and Altidore.

Video of phantom foul that has Besler suspended against Mexico. Disgraceful from Costa Rica.

My final guess at what our line-up will be tonight. Not what I think it should be, but what I think it will be:

With this lead, if Honduras wins or ties, USA automatically qualifies.
Such a satisfying win. Fantastic atmosphere in Columbus.
Awesome
I think we can make a good showing in Rio!
major props to the US MNT. i thought about posting on here but I am too supers ious. great result. I watched the Costa Rican game with friends in Austin but wish I could've been doing that for this one.
If Panama ties/beats Mexico in next qualifier, does the US let Panama win the last game to keep Mexico out? Maybe we play our U-14 girls team vs Panama?

The US needs Mexico to qualify. It's good for the sport as a whole in the U.S. if Mexico does good. It will also help our FIFA ranking, which I believe is used to determine the world cup draw.
We're not getting a 1st Pot Seed no matter what, so it doesn't matter. UEFA will be Pot 2, we'll be Pot 3 most likely.
Up to #13 in FIFA rankings. I believe in '10 these were the rankings the pots were based on, so that teams who already clinched and put out developmental squads in October weren't punished.
US starting lineup against Pan: Guzan; Evans, Goodson, Orozco, Castillo; Bedoya, Beckerman, Kljestan, Diskerud, Zusi; Altidore (c)
