Then buying the latest ZyXel model (14.4K, top of the line) for about $350 and being part of the upper crust.

Pictures? No such thing. Everything was simple text then.

Rookie. My college graduation present was a 300 baud Hayes Micromodem for the Apple //e (with 48K of RAM!). And I was damned happy to get it. It cost more than your ZyXel.

But even though everything was text only, you could still download pics. Do you know how LONG it took to download pics at 300 baud?? Makes you appreciate ST and its avatars all the more.

OK, ladies, Spurs are only up 15-11, so do your magic!!
