edit- fake
'Preciate it, Obi. Hope the family's well.
Think I'd be pretty damn happy to have either, probably a little more partial to AK - if I knew he was still the same guy.
But having not been able to watch, Millsap would seem to be the safer option; even if I agree with K-State as to the differences between he and West (who I've always wanted to see play next to Tim and in this system).
Got a lot of faith in KY and his versatility. Dude's slick.
I think they'll try to trade White, Anderson and Smith. I'd take Smith any day, and I'd even take Anderson back, too.
if ainge ships rondo, then he is tanking
Ahh nvm this dude trollin. Woj didn't tweet that.
Lin/Asik for Rondo!?
Wow.
Morey said "they haven't heard from Dwight yet", but we all know it's done.
my bad it was fake, damn twitter
I agree.
All is well.
Still in the Metroplex?
It'd be especially good because the Spurs don't have to worry about matching salaries. They could take both players for just a second-rounder if they wanted.
Asik/Lin are getting moved.
Neither player has a role on that team with the money they're making. Rockets have a hole at the 4 spot.
They should just let Monetjunas and Parsons start at the forward spots. Both of them can shoot and are pretty mobile. Perfect types of players to put next to Howard.
Patrick Beverly has some trade value. He played very well for Houston when Lin got benched. I doubt they just waive him. And Greg Smith looks to a promising future backup C. So those guys IMO have trade value. Anderson will probably be waived. And what's funny about this, all 3 guys are decent bench players and young and all the Rockets will have now is the league minimum to offer players to fill their roles. Good luck winning on a 6 man rotation next year.
are they finally gonna trade trob?
I think the S&T with Atlanta for Smith will happen. HOU will prob just throw in and include the necessary contracts in that trade.
Gone to Portland.
Spurs won't beat GSW small-ball lineup as the roster currently stands. We need either Millsap or AK imo to beat that team. They're youthful to so they can play big minutes.
Exactly. I think they're going to try to keep them, which means they have to trade some of their underperforming players on guaranteed deals. They are probably negotiating those right now. Also, they could waiting for a definitive cap to be set so they can see how many players they have to get ride of.
Hopefully this helps RC and Pop realize that something else needs to be done to the Spurs roster.
That trade would have to be made AFTER Houston uses its cap space on Howard. They won't be sending Smith's full salary's worth back to Atlanta, so they'd take on money in that deal no matter whom they included (outside of Lin). They need to make the room before that, so they'll move the necessary players as their first official business.
