Have you started banging your keyboard yet.

Words are symbols. If you are claiming that you have induced some truth outside of perception that you cannot make a word for then I laugh at you. I have a word for it: bull .

And now you are making claims as to what I thought on this subject from the beginning or what evidence I have looked at etc. I mean if you had said something and I just ignored it then that would be one thing. This tact you are taking just tells me you are mad and lashing out at me. Your tears are delicious. Really if you are upset then may I suggest you look for more productive outlets?

As I pointed out before I was wrong on the issue of presumption once a basis for self defense was established. That does not fit my narrative from before but I was wrong. In the face of that your whining just doesn't hold up.

At lest you stopped with the psychobabble.
    you flatter yourself quite lavishly.

And I claim nothing of the sort. I said fundamental symbolism cannot adequately express many complex ideas. Yet we try to manipulate symbols like some sort of simple algebra and it is deeply flawed. Enough of this crap, you have not thought about it enough. Personally I am humbled by it all.

    Pyschobable...
You invented that symbol while keeping up with FOX so you can counter fools on this board? Remember to site them when you write your paper.

I am not typing on a keyboard Dr. Phil. And the irony of reading into a person' behavior and thoughts. Banging, is that what you see... Cool.

In the post I quoted perhaps you point at where I flatter myself. I made on observation about what I said was wrong. Hardly flattering. To the contrary, I was debasing myself, something which you claimed I would not do. Now you are dissembling. It seems that is all you do.

I am sorry that my arrogance makes you insecure. Your need to deflate me is laughable.

Psychobabble is just a term for what people do that try and apply psychological principles without basis. You brought up paranoid delusions and neurosis in a comparison of me. The shoe fit for obvious reasons.

Fox? Sorry that my diction makes you insecure. Your flaling away is amusing.

Your assertion that something cannot be described symbolically is bull . All one needs do is make a new word for the 'complex idea.' Just because you cannot find the words for complex ideas does not mean that others cannot. All that says is you have difficulty with complex ideas.

On a final note, the allusion to a keyboard was supposed to be symbolic of your asshurtedness. Of course I have no idea what you are typing on. Your response does have the effect of reinforcing my point though. Thanks.

Please though get mad some more.

You know you have a classic thread when math education smack is brought up.

O'Mara is right in that this case is reversed; the state is the one throwing things out there to try to bust up the defense's account. "Here's what it really sounds like happened" type of things. The prosecution is heavy on emotion. Funny that O'Mara said that early on when he talked about the underbelly of being a defense lawyer. Something like "We're the ones who are supposed to do that."

Having said that, and even though reasonable doubt is stamped all over this, a manslaughter verdict from this all female jury wouldn't surprise me. They don't know what the sentence will be on that.

This is a solid take that I basically agree with. While I came into the trial thinking that Zimmerman was surely guilty, the weak case presented by the prosecution, coupled with a masterful job by the defense (particularly O'mara), means I would certainly vote to acquit.

While I still think Zimmerman should be euthanized, I just don't see how he's guilty of 2/murder or even manslaughter. But, as you said, I think the latter charge is entirely possible.

All I really wanna see now is an acquittal, followed by brown people burning their own dilapidated neighborhoods. Makes for good TV, especially on a slow sports weekend

Dershowitz: Zimmerman Prosecutors 'Should Be Disbarred'
    Friday, 12 Jul 2013 06:22 PM
    By Bill Hoffmann

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz says the prosecutors in the George Zimmerman murder trial should be charged with "prosecutorial misconduct" for suggesting the defendant planned the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.

"That is something no prosecutor should be allowed to get away with … to make up a story from whole cloth," Dershowitz told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"These prosecutors should be disbarred. They have acted absolutely irresponsibly in an utterly un-American fashion."

Zimmerman, a 29-year-old neighborhood watch volunteer, is charged with gunning down Martin, 17, as the two fought following a confrontation in the gated Sanford, Fla., community where Zimmerman lives — an act the defendant said was in self-defense.

In the prosecution's final argument on Friday, lawyer John Guy said Zimmerman deliberately followed Martin and "shot him because he wanted to."

Dershowitz called Guy's statement "such speculation. How does he get into the mind of Zimmerman? He hasn't cross-examined him, he hasn't met him.

"To ask the jury to believe that is to ask the jury to convict based on complete and utter speculation and that's not the way the law operates."

A day earlier, prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda said Zimmerman — whom he labeled a "wannabe cop" — "followed" and "tracked" Martin after profiling him as a criminal.

Dershowitz said not only should Zimmerman have not been charged with second-degree murder, but prosecutors should not have pushed to have manslaughter and child abuse added to the list of possible jury verdicts.

"[It's] utterly irresponsible. … The idea that the prosecution can try the case on a murder theory and then, at the last minute, subs ute manslaughter, even though it seems to be permitted generally under Florida law — it's a big mistake to allow it in a case like this,” he said.

"And then the very idea of even suggesting child abuse in a case like this is so irresponsible."

Dershowitz praised the closing argument of defense lawyer Mark O'Mara.

"He did the right thing by being methodical and factual because this is a case where the prosecution's case is all emotion and the defense case is all factual," the famed civil-rights lawyer said.

"Emotionally, obviously everybody can identify with a young, unarmed 17-year-old who ends up dead, and emotionally, as President [Barack] Obama said, he's all of our children."

Dershowitz — whose clients have included Claus von Bulow, Mike Tyson, Patricia Hearst, and former televangelist Jim Bakker — said the case has "reasonable doubt" written all over it.

"Nobody knows who started the initial physical encounter, who threw the first blow — and if you don't know that you have to have a reasonable doubt," he said.

"Nobody knows for sure who screamed, 'Help me, help me.' You have to have a reasonable doubt about that. Nobody knows for sure who was on top and who was on bottom, though the overwhelming forensic evidence suggests that Zimmerman was on the bottom having his head banged by a younger, stronger man. You have to have reasonable doubt there."

for you non Travonz Trolls, if given the power to invoke any sentence regardless of current Florida laws.......

What would you give George Zimmerman?
    Any time whatsoever?
I think his motive was good. He was trying to help stop the burglaries and home invasions in the hood, and was frustrated at the govt court systems-law enforcements failure to do so.
Traybonz 4 minutes to split is very telling.
I think GZ is genuinely sad he shot Martin, and not just because he got *caught*.
Had they just duked it out, i would hope they could have met 4 years from now and agreed they both were wrong. Maybe sooner. Maybe the next week. Maybe the next day.

Traybonz has no doubt been influenced by cowardly rap dumb along with gangsta glorification. I think he probablyl did buy the mixins for sizzrup or whatever DumbF rapper calls that drink mixed with codeine. But i can't say 100%. Maybe he just likes Skittles and iced tea at midnight in the rain.

GZ is older and thus bears more responsibility imo to have been the one to take the pressure out of the situation as it developed.

I'd give GZ a year with access to classes.

Not just the 4 minutes that O'Meara focused on, but the 45 minutes that elapsed between the time Martin left the 7-11 till the time GZ first spotted him. 45 minutes to walk 0.8 miles? What was he doing all that time, standing in the rain? Could he have spent most of that time casing houses at the development before Zimmermman spotted him? We know he was caught with jewelry and a burglary tool at school. If these women jurors have any guts at all, if they're not afraid for their safety, they'll decide Zimmerman had to shoot TM to save his life and they'll come back with not guilty on all counts.

Zimmerman is a wannabe police officer who took the law into his own hands. He had decided Martin was one of the criminals who had been victimizing his neighborhood, then he trailed him against the advice of police dispatchers

"The defendant didn't shoot Trayvon Martin because he had to,"
"He shot him because he wanted to.
    That's the bottom line."
