What's the film? Sign Kawhi & have your 10th man playing like an All-Star?
Duds were always going to get murdered on the boards & their defense was going to suffer after they lost their best defensive player: Bogut.
Spurs made Iggy a complete nonfactor.
I don't know if you caught it earlier, but the Dubs have a four game losing streak going.
I saw this game on my phone at work. Wasn't able to focus on the starting unit in the 1st half, but the 2nd unit looked terrific with Simmons and Patty. Felt good to in the Warriors cereal opening night.
It is just 1 game, but the team looked like they had a kind of determined swagger about them
I watched this game with Playoff mentality. LOVED IT!
West coast game. He set it to record and went to bed.
Such a great start for the season!!
That is a great factoid.
I know it was the first game and all but there are issues with this warriors team.
Interior defense. That was pathetic.
Rebounding. Pathetic as well.
Depth - that bench is pretty weak tbh.
They doubled down on betas. Its a two headed beta snake running that offense. And the alleged real alpha is such a headcase and lacks mental composure. Running around screaming like he just hit the game winning shot of game seven of the finals after every dunk and basket made.
He looks decent vs Lebron because Lebron can't shoot. Kawhi usually has his way with him.

Haha - I didn't say it would all be depressing : )
But even tonight, masked by a great win, we saw Pau struggle. Given, tough match up for a big like him (like Tim coming off bench vs GS last year), but there will be moments.
HE better not have been jumping up and down. Those knees need to be well rested as HE comes back after the all star break...

Just back from the game. I take credit for the reverse jinx so, you're welcome, tbh.
And HE is resting HIS knees for late February's comeback to judge the living and the dead, tbh.
That was me, tbh. I also yelled "TP, go Ayesha after the game!"
Too late. I already took credit for it.![]()
Ok, you'll be Kawhi and I'll be the LMA of this thread, tbh.
You bring up an interesting point that I forgot to mention earlier. I didn't think Aldridge played an outstanding game, but looked up and he quietly had 26 points and 14 boards on 50 percent shooting. He really feasted on the Dubs after wearing them down.
I can't remember an exact play I'll have to watch the game again
Watch the play right before Simmons block on Curry, that's a pass most bigs should and can be able to catch (not a super clean pass, but a pass an average big will not struggle with). He just lamely puts 1 hand out there trying to catch the ball (not smart at all), fumbles it, and then doesn't hustle enough to just grab the ball which was near him. instead tries to box out Green from hustling for the ball which he fails at, it was pretty easy for him to go and catch that

He and Pau had difficulty together in spacing but once LMA realized they had nothing for him down low, he adjusted accordingly. He also made some tough jumpers. I'd say it was an outstanding game considering it was opening night. You can tell he'll be better this season and when Kawhi had some tough moments, he picked him up and vice versa. This can be a great situation for LMA if he doesn't let ego get in the way...and it won't.
