jesus UPS doesn't come until like 7pm to my house. waiting for this 8800 GT is getting annoying.
Its software and a memory pack docking station that works with your CPU. You have to buy a memory pack though.
You download roster from someone online. Upload it into the program and insert the memory pack into the docking station and transfer the info to the memory pack. Then from the memory pack onto the hard drive of the 360.
Or if you have a game saved or roster saved you can put it onto your CPU to retrieve later. This also doubles as a memory back up. I got mine at Circuit City for about 10 bucks. Memory pack I got used for 30 bucks. This works with any file so all the roster nuts out there can have up to date rosters that are far better and more complete than the XBOX Live updates. MLB, NBA, NFL, Hockey if it still exists.
Buyer Beware though. This thing is a to get going and it doesn't work on most computers, no one knows why and the customer service is non-exsistant.
If someone here can get it to work I'll mail them my memory pack because I've tried three computers with no luck.

That forum is an amazing source of info. The game creators from various companies post and hang out there. All of the wishlist threads for games like 2K8 were all started by the programmers.

Nope because tons of people have the same issue as me. There is a 50 something page thread of nothing but people with issues with it. Final concensus was that it simply will work with some computers and won't work with others. Made by Datel and they have zero customer service, I emailed, called, everything and no response. I actually left work early yesterday to buy all this stuff to get the opening day rosters for 2K8 since I saw it ready and posted over there, I was all excited and bam I spend three hours ing with it and got nowhere. Then I tried all the computers here at work and nothing here either. I'm going to have to find someone thats got it going so I can ship them my memory pack and they can put the rosters on there for me. Disappointing to say the least.
if thats the case then all we should have to di is buy one or the other either the stick or the memory pack and just pass that around right?

Thats a great idea. I have everything we need but I'm simply not sure if its my computers and the software not agreeing or if its a memory pack or transfer kit. We might need a fresh start. I think I may just return the memory pack for now. I can mail you the transfer kit if you want to see you can get it going on your CPU. We just someones memory pack to test out and try.

I downloaded it but am unable to open it up to see what it looks like since my CPU doesn't know who or what created it. All this for rosters, but dammit I refuse to give up, I want to download and take the 99 Spurs into an Association.
CH that british dude was getting kinda annoying on that server last night! the game magically became a bit easier with the 8800GT in the rig.

the .rar extension is for a program similar to winzip but its winrar. basically its another type of zip file. I am still at work and wont get home until 11 tonight
but if you havent been able to open this packaged file by then then I will try it and see what it does because I also use the winrar program and have it installed at the house. its a free download anfd you can prolly download the program from downloads.com
if not then no sweat I can check it out tonight. but are we going to also need something else besides this program or is this all we are going to need to do this
it was a bit grating at first when he was complaining. i am still getting used to voip in games. my q3 and q3 clan rarely used it - we would just have a coach on it directing stuff. we mostly just used team talk scripts.
NBA live 08 for PC is complete Garbage. This is the last EA sports product I will buy (for the PC). Just like Madden 08, PC version is not "next-gen" like console.
The controls are garbage, the graphics (on my 8800GTX) are garbage, the AI is garbage....etc etc
Stating that a game EA created is garbage is the pinnacle of redundancy.
They are the corporate sludge that is infiltrating the gaming world.
I hope they burn. I don't mind a company that cares about making money, but essentially flipping the bird to gamers and not even caring about them one IOTA is inexcusable.
I can't wait. The complete opposite of EA is releasing Super Mario Galaxy soon.
