Ultimately, this trade hurts both teams to some degree, but hurts Lakers less. The plan is to sign big name FAs after big name FAs, it worked in the 90s and 00s, but Kobe and the Buss kids poisoned that well. Lebron is detoxing that well now, see how far he can take it.
