Kevin Pelton talks about the Warriors game as well as a brief NBA preview. http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=17893877

He like most the media throws it out as a random event.
    It is and it isn't.
You don't lose at home by 29 and it not be a fluke. However, the Spurs exposed weakness in the Warriors. It will be interesting to see if they are able to hide/compensate for those weaknesses.
Most teams will not be able to expose them.

You're right. The issue will always be about what the Worriers did wrong not what the Spurs did right. But just like last season we exposed some weaknesses in those sorry Oakland asses. Worriers will still manage to win 60+ games but will be interesting how they perform against other teams' big and athletic frontcourts (OKC, BUCKS, MINNY, etc).

I think the Warriors were exposed in this game. No having Bogut and Ezelli trolling the paint is a big problem. Spurs can be contained with really big guys (see OKC), the Warriors just don't have that kind of personnel with the reboot.

Last year, Spurs could defend the GSW, but had trouble scoring too. This year with Leonard's new aggressiveness and a much smaller front line, the offense did not have as much problems. Also, the Spurs were looking to shoot the 3 (LaMarcus being set up to shoot the corner 3). They did not do that last year were it was mostly an isolation game.

No point in getting too high or low with just one game. In that sense Kenny has always been on that bandwagon, so it makes sense.

Warriors definitely are a work in progress. They set a big bar the last couple of seasons, and they've changed pretty drastically.

You make it sound all reasonable. I can understand some bandwagoning, because of last season and adding Durant. But Kenny Smith predicted a 77 win season. I don't care who they have on the team, you don't talk about winning 77 games like it's a given. And he's still trying to justify the comment, after that first game. I've always liked him, but that's just Stephan A. Smith level stupid.

It was nice to see a short stretch of small ball with Kawhi at the 4. At the end of the first half there was a lineup of Patty-Manu-Simmons-Kawhi-LMA that went on a 9-0 run in about 2 minutes of play.

I hope we can see some more of that going forward when matched up with quicker and stretchier teams.

Most impressive, unexpected and enjoyable Spurs performance since the '14 Finals. The confidence they played with was shocking and if indeed Leonard (getting to the line and play making) and Simmons (playing with controlled aggression and volume three-point shooting) have made significant strides, then that would completely transform this team.

Parker looked somewhat uncomfortable playing primarily off the ball because it's foreign, but he's a more intelligent player and better spot up shooter than he's given credit for and will adjust. Plus, he may not be much of a primary creator anymore, but as a secondary one, he'll dust defenses in rotation and so will Ginobili.

Predictably, the media, who roasted the Spurs after their first meeting last season, was quick to rush to the Warriors defense, but no one (at least not teams they've been "up" for) has made them look like that in the previous 2 seasons.

Pretty accurate way of describing Parker's new role. If this is the role that he's going to have moving forward, he's going to somke some unsuspecting defenses.

That drive on Curry in the third is going to be huge...If the starters can play with Leonard as the main handler and tony can attack defenses in short burst...hes going to beat 90% of defenses.
