Can Pop at least consider giving Blair 6 of Boner's minutes, is that really too much to ask for a guy who has proven to put up points against this team?
GREAT win. No complaints. The Spurs lost their rhythm and it's really tough to get that rhythm back. Especially in the playoffs against a great team. The Spurs could have easily folded and lost that game ... and then maybe the series.
Great, great win. Playoff wins aren't supposed to be easy ... and that's even more true against a team that probably will end up winning a handful of championships down the line.

So frustrating not to be able to watch Chuck and Kenny right now.
i dont know what to watch tnt, fssw or nba tv
Love that play when TP hit the 3. Harden had no idea where the ball was. HAHA
Even though Game 3 will be the hardest game we've had yet these playoffs, we still have a great shot to win it. TD will surely have a better offensive game than tonight and I'm sure he'll make it a point to bounce back on Thursday.
Totally.
I'm aware of sample size. Green looked very good in 1st Q. I think this is more a case of choking - he doesn't deal well with the intense pressure of 4th Q in WCFs.
OKC scored 67 in 2nd half vs Spurs 65.
The Thunder played their very best ball in the 4th, and got the benefit of every whistle. And they outscored the Spurs by 7 points. I know it felt worse than that, but that's all it was.
You've seen what the Thunder have to do to win a quarter by 7. The Thunder might get a win in OKC, but they won't get two. And I wouldn't be surprised to see another sweep. The Thunder are a very good team. This is a great Spurs team.
Pop with the traditional interview Tony has been great all year
LOL!! I think we need more than 2 games to form that opinion, but if you say so.
Edit: I just realized you don't seem to have clicked on the link. It's not about sample size really, it's more about people's bias and inability to tell what a good sample size is.
Pop hilarious with I think hack a splitter is a lousy strategy and I never used that![]()
It's another step up for him. He's hit a wall a couple of times this season, as he got more respect from opposing defenses. But he's found his game, and stepped up. I still think he'll do it again this post-season.
It's one thing to be unable to handle the pressure, and another to be put off the first time you've seen it. Personally, I think he's facing the toughest assignments he's ever seen on the defensive end, and it's hurting him on the other end. The game will slow down for him. And it will make things feel even easier in the Finals.
And BTW - Duncan was 2-11 tonight, and he missed a BUNCH of chip shots in the first game. Things happen. I'm not throwing Green under the bus just yet.
Spurs came back from a 9 point deficit in the 4th in game 1, and held onto a 20+ point lead in game two, both very hard things to do. Two different kinds of adversity, and they rose to the challenge of each. Very impressive.
Fair call. But when a guy misses like that, wide open, game in flux, I'd say it's probably mental. Factor in Green's spotty history and it almost certainly is.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Green succeed, but the way he's played in these two games makes me think he's probably not a guy we want to rely on in the 4th Q late in the playoffs. I hope he proves me wrong.
One of those seems a little easier than the other.
Durant scored 31, Harden scored 30, Westbrook scored 27...
...and we still won. Was that the best OKC can throw at us?
was serge that good on duncan?
Definitely. I mean, we're starting two rookies! IMO they've done a great job this post-season. They've been able to learn on the fly, and step up their games as the playoffs continue. Nothing has been decided yet, but chasing around Harden and Westbrook will be great preparation when Green has to go against Wade in the Finals.
Second chance points and fast-break points kept OKC in the game tonight. Need to do better with both in OKC to win a game there.
Not that it hurt at all in terms of the outcome, but I'm interested to hear what Pop says about barely playing Neal and Jax.
Props to all REAL Spur fans. Best passing team I have seen since the 80's Lakers and Celts. If you guys win it all I say easily best team since Shaqobe Lakers .. props![]()
