Yep, me, too. But Pop has hitched his wagon to Murray. White is looking more and more like a trade asset even though he is the best natural PG prospect on the roster.
Jamal Crawford at SA airport. Sorry no pics

White can be the SG aka Dumars.
Makes no sense to put the guy with better handles, court vision and passing skill at SG while forcing a guy who lacks those skills into the PG.
Worked for AI in Philly. Eric Snow was only in their for defense. The point is White and Dejojnte would compliment each other well just like Mills. But White is taller and can switch off better with Murray than Mills.
"Jamal Crawford, How would you like to be our starting Small Forward?"
AI never won squat in Philly.
He had the worst supporting cast I've ever seen. Not that he was the best teammate and passer but what he did in 2001, was amazing.
Secondly, my second point still stands. White and Murray both compliment each other well with Murray having better potential as a penetrator. White is injury prone and not very quick. White is a combo guard who probably settles as a playmaking 2 guard. He is not quick enough to penetrate consistently nor is he quick enough to guard the elite footed pgs.

I agree that they have the potential to complement one another very well, but I want to see the PG responsibility going to the guy with the better handles, court vision and passing ability. Your argument is primarily defense-related; just cross-defend.
I like him for 15 minutes a game, but would make no sense, with us already having a ton of guard and no true SF's.
Not just defense related. White would likely struggle to get to the paint and he seems injury prone. Two reasons to have him play more on the perimeter than pound the rock like a Spurs pg is supposed to do. Not to mention where do you put Murray then? You want to put the guy with the worst jump shot at sg? Better to put the combo guard (White) there in the mean time. Pg might turn out to be his desired and most effective position but it doesn't maximize our team's potential.
Hilliard gone per hoopshype twitter to Baskonia. Trash excited for to new TALENTED 2 wayplayaz
So we have no one signed as of yet to a two way contract?
After one season in the G League it seems a bit premature to pronounce White as injury prone. But back to Murray: as a shooting guard he would need to concentrate on developing only one skill - shooting; as opposed to PG where he needs to develop the entire suite of PG skills. Might help Spurs in the short run, but shackle them with a PG who will never have the court vision to be as effective at that position as we need. I like Murray's talk, but I have serious doubts about his walk.
I saw Bryn Forbes at the Magik theatre with his two boys watching Madagascar Live.
Cool. I get your point but I still argue Derrick White doesn't need to start at pg to be effective as a ball handler. Just like TP started but took a back seat to the ball handling once Manu came in Derrick White can thrive at the playmaking guard position (manu's role). Who cares about positions? If White is good as you think he will have the ball in his hands regardless. The reason I think Pop wants Murray at pg is his mentality to want to get to the basket.
So Murray + White can be the next Tony + Manu? Hmm would love to see the duo on the court first but if White is a decent defender with playmaking skills, he will be a good combo with Murray
Nobody cares about position - especially today. PG and SG are still handy labels. However you want to label them, White has shown more court vision and passing skill thus far. Consequently I would rather see him with the ball more. If you are trying to replicate Tony/Manu with Murray/White, my reply is that it would seem much easier to let White be White and try to remake Murray in the image of Danny Green. Danny couldn't shoot when he first entered the league, either. The other, more positive, comparisons seem pretty clear.
That's cool. I just came back from watching La Veganza De Pancho Villa with a live string quartet playing the score.
He dieded at the End. Shot. Lots of times. Many bullets. Lots of dust everywhere.
Those chicks could play some strings though!
Spurs shall win the NBA le.......
why not some jimmer for the minimum, im sure he take peanuts atm just for another shot at returning
