BLS - the only band I catch every time they come through Dallas. A night of beer/BLS at the Granada in Greenville is ing badass... period.
when are htey coming back through dallas?
I'm not sure. The last time they were here was this past November 19, so it probably won't be for another 8 months to a year at least. The last few times they were here they played at the Granada, which is a small venue and you can get right up on the stage in the pit.
dude i remember that show
i wanted to go but i had something else going on, which sucks cuz i hardly ever have stuff going on
It was a great show - we got right up to the stage and I caught a pic from Zakk while my gf got a shirt that he threw to her.
I saw TV on the Radio right before Bauhaus at the NIN concert last summer and they ing blew dude.
cbf - no comment on in case you didn't feel like showing up, or just none needed? it is just an EP but the versions of the songs on it kick ass.
That CD is tight, but my only knock on it was that except for Stigmata (which makes the CD completely worth it) alot of the songs don't sound very different from the studio recordings.
But With Sympathy is the , regardless of the BS Al tries to say about it now. Check this out, LOL. This song's been in my head all day.

they occasionally play tracks off that cs on sirius's new wave station. i had totally forgotten about i wanted to tell her until they played it. i immediately re-acquired the album.
that 'monosylab' guy has created an imposter "pussyface" account that he spelled "pussyface." (with a period added)
he got upset that I made fun of his listing eminem and 3 albums that came out within the past 6 months as "the greatest albums of all time." He also is very upset that I make fun of his adoration for "leo" dicaprio (no, i am not making this up, the guy is actually a self-professed leo superfan).
...looks like mono has taken a bit of a beating in this thread already so i'll let it slide.
projected list of monosylab's other picks for greatest album ever:
dr. dre- 2001 (his idea of giving it up to an "old school" classic)
modest mouse- the moon and antarctica
kings of leon
the strokes- is this it?
arcade fire-funeral
camron
i dont follow yr logic here.
first of all, i haven't listed anything yet.
2nd, there are plenty of albums that haven't been mentioned yet that came out more than a handful of weeks ago.
recent albums way better than anything you listed (maybe except kid a, yr overly cliched pic):
wilco- yankee hotel foxtrot.
madvillain- madvillainy
quisimoto- the unseen
mf doom- operation: doomsday
rap album last year better than clipse: ghostface killah, fishscale.
arguably greatest album ever/not yet listed that I know of:
bob dylan + the band - basement tapes
LOL talk about simply listing a "best of" from pitchfork.
What'd you do, just look up metacritic's top albums of the year and post a few up there? and no offense to doom and madlib, cuz they both have their moments, but i like my hip-hop tracks to have some semblance of structure to them. i don't care how good it is, when it's just random ass followed by more random ass , i just can't stay with it.
and yankee hotel foxtrot sucked. summerteeth was their best album by far. that's the downfall of most bands, forgetting how great they are at simply writing songs, and thinking they can be radiohead.

why am i gonna post "pet sounds" when pet sounds has already been cited a load of times on this thread already? everybody already in knows about every great album by the beatles or the clash or public enemy or whatever the else. if something was already cited, then what the am i gonna post the exact some in album for? i was just throwing a few other things out there.
oh btw, since ur name's pussyface, does that mean that for you, talking is simply a lengthy series of queefs?
MotownPhilly by Boyz II Men
the pussyface (that's me) and the pussyface. (that's me too) are one and the same. our collective awesomeness at pwning n00bs on the internet is too good for one screen name alone.
here's some more albums that have far too much indie hype for me to enjoy, or else my indie street cred will lose a point or two:
anything by the shins
band of horses
tokyo police club
anything at all by the streets or dizzee rascal (waaaay too "indie" indie for my indie-ness)
arctic monkeys
the hold steady (don't even get me started on them, they're so fake-indie it's not even funny, my cd's have to be created in a dirty laundry room in wyoming and packaged in cheap cardboard for it to be indie enough for me super indie-ness)
madvillain was great. i liked more fish as well. adventures of lord quas was good, but unseen was better.
The Unseen was like our anthem for the year 2001
somebody pass me that spray
great points man. on second thought, im going to have to rethink my picks and agree with you.
Eminem daring to lyrically take on such formidable foes as the insane clown posse and whining about N Sync, britney spears and whhaaaa my childhood whaaaa like an emo makes for timeless/unforgettable hiphop.
Madlib is a one tick pony who just throws against the wall at random to try to be unusual. he could learn a lot from producers like scott storch and the neptunes. stick to a formula, repeat, ya know?
i agree now, yankee hotel foxtrot was horrible, why do bands try to make albums or develop a sound? just repeatedly make alt country folk songs and put em up on itunes where I can download for .99 cent, no one wants to sit through an LP anyway, this is 2007. 'jesus etc' is not a good song.
also, leonardo dicaprio is cooler than bernard hopkins.
