oh and I voted for cp3 even though I think he is a s bag (and I dont care what he's done in the community, on the court he drives me crazy, and not because of his driving ability or clutch shots)
I agree with others who feel that williams will eventually be the better player.
but as far as the contest, it says to pick the player you think gives you the best chance to win next season, and right now between the two that is paul.
however, if I were to be making my ideal team for next season with those 16 players, I'd personally go for a defensive team with duncan, garnett, james, wade and billups. of the 16, there are lots of players that are better than those 5 but I like defense and I think those players would work well together. So maybe the OP should clarify if we are choosing these guys to be the number 1 franchise player, or pieces of a larger puzzle.
also, its not clear whether we should take into account injuries. taking into account injuries, 4 out of the 5 guys i chose on my ideal team would not get picked
