So they bought their way in. Thanks for clarifying.

I feel compelled to point out there was no patio furniture in Fort Wayne.
Can you read? EVERY team has to pay it. Your reasoning level is scary. If a team defaults then another team pays it. EVERY team pays it. It is not like NBA where they let the poor NBA owners not pay the fee. Because half of them are bankrupted in NBA. And NBA players already have to give 9% of their checks back to the owners so the league can stay from bankruptcy. Greek league is not in same financial mess like NBA.
Faliro Arena - 10,000 (it is said that Peristeri would like this arena in the future, Peristeri has 4,000 arena now)

Yeah and this one went from second level to first based solely on money. No talent needed. Thanks.
Seems like if one of their teams couldn't pay the fee then they aren't quite peachy.Your reasoning level is scary.
There is also Peristeri arena which is 8,400 after they added back in the seating they took out before because they got a new football pitch. It is say that Peristeri is also interest in using this in future as their arena.

It is said that venue owners want tenants, but teams that own their own arenas have much lower overhead and don't worry about filling rented 15,000 seat arenas with a couple hundred non-season ticket holders. Bakersfield discovered this in the D-League.
Who said they could not pay it? Now you make stuff up.
Either they couldn't pay it and the Greek League is in more financial trouble than even a fake Greek will let on or they didn't want to pay it because the Greek League isn't worth the price, despite what a fake Greek thinks.
As you can see not only is there several big arenas that teams use now but there is also several big arenas that are new and much more modern (state of the art actually for Olympics) and just sit empty.
Even AEK old Greek league arena has been sitting empty for a couple years now.
They were using it for finals of the Greek Cup tournament. They switched to Panionios arena for that now. They have a shopping meet sitting inside the arena now.
But anyway this is the arena they used to use for Greek cup final (now they use the big one of Panionios) but it is just sitting there empty and with a shopping meet being held in it.
AEK played there and then just left it. It has 7,500 size and like some of the others it was expanded after these pictures were taken as they added the stands around the floor.

You cannot even read. It is a optional fee for each club to pay. It has NOTHING to do with the Greek League it is for HEBA.

Well they didn't pay it.
Only 2 categories of possible explanations:
1. They could no longer afford the fees to remain in the A1 league
OR
2. They no longer considered it a wise investment to pay the costs associated with remaining in the A1 league and chose the lower costs of a lesser league.
What other reason would compel a sports team owner to voluntarily move his team to a lesser league?

As i just proved not only do several clubs have big arenas they already use but there is several just sitting empty just in Athens alone. It is pure racism, lies, hatred, and bull for you people here to make up this fake world where there is no arenas and all the clubs play in high school gyms.
Actually in Athens it is a known fact that there are more big arenas than any city on earth. And you are making fun of it when a big US city has not that many arenas.
Also you act as if no arenas are being built.
Iraklis builds a 10,000 arena
Aris is expanding their arena to 10,000 (the 16,000 new arena for them from the city is on hold because of economy) so they will expand the current one to 10,000
Olympiacos is building a new arena of 14,000 (they canceled the 20,000 plans because of economy). The new Olympiacos arena will be built to modern features that no NBA arena has currently.
Panionios is building a new modern 5,000 arena just for when they play games in Greek league.
The Larissa clubs will eventually be merged into one and they are getting a renovation project to their arena for 2013 Mediterranean Games.
Kolossos is building a new 5,000 arena.
Irakleio already has the 6,500 arena they just won't use it unless they get back in top division.
Panathinaikos was building a new arena but they canceled it and instead the Greek state will do another upgrade of OAKA for them and the senior national team that mainly use it.
And there are 4 big and new arenas just sitting empty.
So STFU with all these damn lies about there are no arenas in Greece. Actually Greek league is thinking about making a new arena rule so that they would all be used. 4 arenas that are ALREADY built.
So you racist, xenophobes that keep making up this crap about no basketball arenas in Greece are liars and you know it.
Mel 13 cannot even read English. It is pathetic.
That is an OLD image before it was renovated.
And for 100th time this is there main arena
Do you feel any guilt when you purposely try to falsely degrade other cultures?
I could have sworn you said they all had to have 10,000 by 2009-2010, considering when I said that it was going to be three years before that happened, you said it was happening in 2009-2010.
I didn't know crappy basketball was a culture.
