Nice job, Cindy. Admittedly, without Malkin in the lineup.

In my opinion, the West is going to be won by either Vancouver or Detroit

SJ will choke: Thornton, Marleau, Heatley, Blake and Nabokov are notorious chokers

L.A Kings are becoming a force, but still too young; however, that's what people said about the Blackhawks last season, and they went to the WCF

Chicago: Khabibulin took them to the WF last season; he is not with them anymore; on top of that, they lost Campbell for the rest of the season

Nashville: that's a team I wouldn't want to face in the playoffs; solid and underrated IMGO

Phoenix: same as Nashville; kudos for coming from ; they were awful last season and almost moved to another city`Dave Tipett should be the COY

Colorado: talented, solid goaltending, but same as L.A Kings; Joe Sako (cracks me up because the franchise`s legend is Joe Sakic) is anotehr candidate for the Jack Adams

    of a game last night.

0-0 game entering the shootout. Took 11 rounds with a grand total of 3 goals scored (Bertuzzi, Sullivan then Kronwall to put them ahead with Howard shutting the door to win it).

Wings looking really, really good. That was the second game of a back-to-back with travel (admitted from Detroit to Nashville). 11-2-1 since the Olympics.

    Seen that, friggin hilarious.

Look at the players to his left laughing their asses off (in their gloves, anyway).

He was Calgray's former coach, right?

    Good luck to Pierre Gauthier

Price is the future; talent, size, but between the ears.... a lot of work to do in that tiny head of his
We don't want to lose him and see him dominating the West; although it would be fun to see him take a few cups away from the Wings like Roy did

Halak, not as big as Price, but amazing focus, work ethic and it seems like his teammates respect him more

Jaro is our number 1 until someone kicks us out of the 1st round

    Decisions decisions.................

Tonight was sweet. Went to the Ducks-Stars game at the AAC and it was awesome. I couldn't believe it ended the way it did. The place was loud and the fans were riled up too. It was weird because the Stars had nothing to play for except that tonight could have been Modano's last home game ever. Turco and Jere could be done as Stars too. And the standing ovations that Modano got were amazing. He was even getting props and cheers from the refs and the Ducks. Probably the best and most exciting hockey game I've ever been to.

I hope you realize how frickin' lucky you are to have attended Modano's last home game. A home game where he spent his entire career.

One of the best American players to have ever laced them up. Surefire, first-ballot HHoF.

    Hats off to Mullet Mike.

    Go Flyers !

If Flyers win, Montreal gets Washington
If NYR win, montreal gets NJ

I'm not afraid by the Caps, we have played very well against them this season, and their D is ty

But NJ, I want to avoid them

Sorry Lefty, gonna be Caps in 5, maybe six. D is a little tighter than early in they year, and goaltending has been solid down the stretch. The habs have played us tough, but it's a long series and the caps are a grittier team by far.

Been waiting twenty years as a caps fan for a cup, and this is the best chance we have ever had. go Caps go!!

    YEs!

Finally a ST member I can talk trash to during the playoffs

The Caps should win the series, but I have news for you:

They won't win the Stanley Cup with that defensde; their run and gun offense is taking them nowhere.

The key to the Caps-Habs series will be Theodore IMHO

He has been red hot this month; will he be motivated enough to beat his former team?

Like any French Canadian goalie who visits the Bell Center, he could kill us.

Or will the Bell Centre crowd get into his head?

Expect a lot of "Theoooooo, Theeeeeeeeo " chants during games 3 and 4.

Sedin wins the point le baby. First Canuck ever.
Well deserved; even when Daniel was injured, Henrik produced; imagine if Daniel didn"t get injured, Henrik would have had more points

By the way, did you see that sick goal in the last Canucks game? (Henrik to Daniel) WOW

I can't wait for the playoffs.... with the exception that every game I want to see is JIP. This is horrible for Avs fans in the US. Sure my team may be swept right out, but for a game to be JIP when the game preceding it starts only 30 minutes or an hour earlier - what a joke. What's even the point. If the preceding game goes to OT, the Avs game is SOL.

Sounds like it's time for yet another year of <cough cough> illegal <cough> streaming of NHL playoff games

All about the trash talk lefty!!

Theo is gonna have to be great. I think he has really elevated his game latley. He will want to beat his old team and show that he could have done the job in last year's playoffs if gabby would have showed a little more faith.

I think the cup is a possibility this year. the changes we made on D seem to work pretty well. We seriously need to shure up the penalty killing though. If we meet Chicago or Detroit in the finals, the caps will raise Lord Stanley's Cup!

Nothing has really changed on D
they traded an offensive Dman (pothier) for another offensive Dman (Corvo)

    Still, WASH's firepower is impressive
