Temple looks good so far. Definitely needs to work on PG skills. Defense was good.

Gee looks good Defensively and is rebounding well at his position which is a thing the spurs like. Offensively he doesn't look to good, IMO he is spending a lot of energy playing defense which is hurting him offensively.

Gee's scoring is his strong point. He needed to prove to the Spurs he could play some defense. He is struggling right now on offense but you know the Spurs love his defensive intensity.


One other general comment, they should remove Kamla from calling this game because he is a homer Timberwolves fan.

Gist isn't showing much on offense but he's not really being given many opportunities to score. What I like are his 2 blocks and a steal (or 2) and is playing decent D. Gee is aggressively hitting the boards and taking it to the cup. Dawson isn't too bad. Temple (Spurs) and Wesley Johnson and Hayward (Wolves) are the best players, so far.

Oh I know he can score. He is really playing hard on the defensive end. He knows to make this team he is going to have to and he is right there on every rebound. Just saying that he is using a lot of energy on the other side of the floor which can somewhat explain the low FG %. I'm sure that is exactly what the Spurs want to see though.

Gee needs to start looking for the other black jerseys on the court with him. When he is guarded by Johnson, he needs to make some body contact on his drives to try to negate the length.

Gist doesn't really look too good atm. Looks better than he did last summer league though.

Those of you that are saying Gist is playing poorly should probably explain what exactly he's doing wrong. He's blocking out, he's setting screens, he's rebounding, he's getting blocks, and he's had no plays run for him.
