The Black Keys are probably not hipster enough for some people ITT
Think The Who would have to disagree.

Black Keys are the in' truth.
Minimal, straight ahead, no frills rock/blues music.
Agree son. I'm not sold on them being better than The White Stripes tho.
Lift Your Skinny Fists' > Ok Computer
zero last.fm rap plays, brah. No, I don't.
Remember a few months ago when that's all you listened to?
I still listen to a load of dadrock. Genesis, Tull, Yes, King Crimson, and others.

You should feel bad for posting that.
So you grew up watching MTV. I forgive you.
In February 1975 Jethro Tull sold out five nights at the 20,000-seater Los Angeles Forum, prompting the Melody Maker to run the headline “Jethro – Now The World’s Biggest Band?” Indeed the venues became so huge that by 1976 Tull had become one of the first bands to use giant screens for stadium shows – nicknamed “Tull-A-Vision”.

After achieving the position of Number one album in the UK charts, Tull, initially in the shadow of Led Zeppelin and others, began the explosive ascent to the lofty heights of U.S. s om, culminating during the next three years in the cover stories of Time and Rolling Stone magazines, five nights at the Forum in Los Angeles and three nights at Madison Square Gardens, New York.

All great bands though... the who, stones, led zep, kinks, etc etc... great times!
I'm sorry, you're thinking about Creep/Pablo Honey Radiohead. They haven't exactly been MTV regulars since 1993.
That's all fine and good. But Jethro Tull at their peak (mid to late 70s) wasn't as good a live band as The Who during their peak (late 60s to mid 70s).
If I recall, Live at Leeds was the highest placed live album on Rolling Stone's top 500 albums of all time list.
Just download/listen to this if you haven't already.

I'm so nice, I even gave you a link.
If a list of best live albums doesn't have The Allman Brothers at Fillmore East at #1, it's wrong.
Nevermind, I see you said Rolling Stone, so of course it's wrong. Their top 100 guitarists list is a joke.
Prog gets NO LOVE from Rolling Stone. That's irrelevant.

Ohhh I could never argue either way. All a matter of taste. I was just commenting that in those 2 to 4 years 71-75 tull was a huge attraction and great live band. If you were there you knew. Seen both numerous times and love them all. Pete is the reason i learned to play guitar. The who were by far the loudest then. That I can attest to.
They're the Blink 182 of post rock.
