Rondo is actually terrified to take a last-second shot..he was so reluctant to take that last shot..
I've seen a bunch of teams do it. They just dare him to shoot and sometimes don't even guard him (like the Heat). He had this game in his hands with a wide open three. He's gonna have to do something about it.

That's why his hype is laughable. How about you don't shoot 50% from the line and make the other team guard you in the NBA finals.

I think hes hands are probly abnormally large compared to his body... thats probly half of it. Also the reason why most white guys are better jump shooters than black guys... smaller hands.

Dirk is just too good..pretty sad that he has the worst supporting cast for a star player in the entire NBA..

Celtics had a good idea there, they sent a double, but did it too late..teams need to double Dirk in clutch time the second he receives the ball, make the scrubs beat you..
Yeah, I looked at Dallas' roster tonight and was shocked at how much the team has fallen off. If this was a few years ago then that roster would seem stacked, but Terry has fallen off and Marion has gone from putting up star numbers to just disappearing. Kidd is still very good but is slowing down. Chandler could be great but is hurt so much. Butler has really regressed and Stevenson used to be decent but now gives nothing.

With Beaubois out this team has zero depth.

I hear this "large hands = bad shooter" thing all the time... is there any evidence it is true?

Upon what exactly is this particular truism based? That 7-footers are typically relatively poor FT shooters?

Couldn't it be just as likely that 7-footers are selected to play in the NBA for skills other than their outside shooting?

The whole statement just doesn't pass the sniff test to me. It would seem to me that being able to better grasp an object would give one better control over its spin and trajectory, therefore being an aid rather than impedance to accuracy.

I don't know, maybe I'm way off here... someone convince me I'm wrong.

Didn't the Celtics play last night? Their average age is 53, yet they still took the Mavs to the limit. Don't count your eggs too soon Mavcrew.

An ideal shooting style means the hand would be in contact with the ball from pretty much the middle of the hand to the tips of the fingers... having big hands means the ball has to travel further along your hand and therefore increases the margin for error. Obviously not everyone shoots the same way... some guys like Ray Allen only use a small portion of their hand .. whereas when Rondo shoots the ball pretty much sits in his palm. Changing his shooting technique/mechanics would probly help solve it.. but only to a certain extent.

Or you can just knuckle ball it like Shaq..

Tonight's outcome was no surprise since KG has been Dirk's his whole career no matter where he's been.

HOWEVA, the lack of a supporting cast remains the same. Butler needs to step up, Beaubois needs to turn into Isaiah Thomas, or Jason Terry needs to be clutch or else we're looking at another 1st/2nd round exit.

Well despite the lack of any punctuation, I gathered you were stating that you would rather your team toil in obscurity rather than be wildly successful. Why would you want that? Doesn't make any sense. Although if your FO shares your views then that would explain what happened to your ball club.
So being a cancer equates to being successful? How does that make any sense? You stated nobody mentions the Kings. I'd rather not be mentioned than be considered a cancer. A little clearer for you now?
