Agreed. They hung in against STL's ace, while putting up CJ, arguably their worst starter (though, you could never convince HIM of that), in the first game of the world series.

Need more production from the 1-4 bats (and hoping Josh finds SOME way to overcome that groin injury), but I think they still have a good shot.

And, yes. Dirk throwing out the first pitch again=win, regardless. Makes more sense for him to throw it out at home anyways.

I'm still saying we take this series in 6...ask me again tonight and I'll tell you if my mind is changed. I wasn't expecting to win Game 1..at all. I'm not expecting to win Game 5 (assuming that's the other game Carpenter starts) either. I'm thinking we'll win the rest. I believe our hitters are much stronger than theirs, and with either better or equal pitching on both sides, we will win.

I don't understand Wash's stubbornness to not move Hamilton down in the lineup and Cruz up in the lineup.

I like his philosophy of never moving people around when they're in slumps but this is an INJURY. Hamilton's not gonna get better this series. He's admitted numerous times that he's gonna have to turn into a singles hitter

yeah it's ridiculous

I gave him a free pass in last year's world series when everybody said he was outmanaged (Bochy always had the lead therefore he looked good when he sent in his dominant bullpen) but this year he has been awful so far
