Get off his . If he played like this all the time I dont think anyone would have a problem with him but Im sure even a CoP member like yourself can recognize that he doesnt always do that.
Just checking in to see which ideas Parker haters are going to come up with today to bash him. I personally think he was a bit sloppy on the FT shooting, and a true warrior would have had at least a couple of blocks.

What strikes me on ST is how volatile the jugement towards Parker is. After one bad game, he's a selfish scrub. After one good game, he's an allstar again.
11 games only people... Players like Parker have proven enough in this league not to be judge on such a small sample
May this Tony Parker please stand up at least every two games !!!
In his defense Sean said TP had a bruised leg, which one I didn't hear.
Its called sarcasm.
It doesn't matter, as soon as he plays another bad game. They'll start at it again, TP can never win with idiot spurs fan. Manu can do no wrong and tony sucks, always been that way with those posers and always will be.
Tony wins finals mvp, haters.......he shot too much, manu should've won, duncan should've won. Pift.....
I guess I should have written it in blue just for Hill's lover.
lol at blaming Parker for the Bucks game
P/S: Kori, JaG, Brazil please remember me at least one time where Manu turned the ball over by overdribbling it (and I'm not talking about just at the end of games).
Manu takes stupid stepback threes, he tries to squeeze an impossible pass between three oponents, fouls rivals on layups while winning by three but he never ever ever overdribbles.

If Manu would have stopped putting on a dribbling exhibition for a second and passed it to a wind open Parker, TP could have missed the three-pointer and the game could have been over.
Seriously though, I agree that Ginobili isn't an overdribbler ... partly because he's not a superb ballhandler against pressure. He's a great ballhandler when knifing toward the basket but he doesn't handle the ball well enough to bring it up against consistent pressure.
The last time the Spurs had Ginobili bring up the ball in the playoffs for any length of time, it was the turnover spree against the Hornets in 2008.
Both CoP and CoM don't have much room talking about turnovers in the clutch. Both players have had their share over the years.
That wasnt simply sarcasm, it was more like a passive aggressive shot at the 'Parker haters'. It was just a re ed post on your part tbh...noone would hate him if he put up 28 pts, 8 assts, on 50% shooting consistently. But hes never done that, especially not this season.
22/7 in 2008-2008 was not too shabby (24/7.5 52% post ASG).
And for information only 3 players in history did have 28/8/50% seasons:
Jordan 32.5/8.0/54% in 40MPG
Lebron 29.7/8.9/50% 39 MPG
Oscar Robertson 28.3/9.5/52% 44MPG

The hate isnt completely unfounded imo, theres alot of reasons why he isnt a likeable player. He is (or was I guess) one of the best at what he does which is being a scoring PG...but he doesnt have the vision to consistently find teammates, or if he has it hes just reluctant to use it. Thats my biggest problem with him, he just doesnt maximize teammates talents. Then you add other like his loose demeanor out on the court (someone compared him to Romo in that sense which I agree with) and his inability to develop a good jumpshot and I just cant help but dislike that little French got. Still give him his props when he plays well though.
Manu is the complete opposite, thats why we all love him. Plus he speaks Spanish too.
I dont think he got much hate that season did he? I even recall people calling the Spurs his team during that period.

I think there was still some haters.
By the way and since you talked about consistency.
Do you know how many player have had at least 4 season with 15+/5+/50%+ seasons in the NBA history?
Only 8... and not the worse:
Magic (8),
Jordan, Nash (6),
Bird (5),
Wilt, Parker, Stockton, Westphal (4)
I would still rank Duncan (Obviously) and Ginobili higher than Parker.
But people should realise how consistent Parker has been for the Spurs.

I was expecting someone to post that play. C'mon timvp you know that's not overdribling it, he's just killing time as I'm sure it was the instruction and then he lost the ball when he made his move to the basket. That's not overdribbling it by any means.
And I agree that Manu has many ups during the clutch, but not by overdribbling it. That's the only thing I'm arguing.
I agree that arguing Manu and overdribbling is below the belt, especially when there's enough in the "dumb foul" category...
Too many turnovers, tbh... (i'm kidding, jeez)
tbh fwiw
