I'm already laughing at you and your pathetic life.![]()
Okay, anything else? Let me guess, you think your man Lebron is better than Jordan right?
All I'm saying is that they're playing routinely against teams that have a really tough time breaking the 90 point barrier... And it isn't just against the Heat... they're just ing handicapped offensively... I want to see Miami react to a team that will drop 100 every night on them... where are they're going to get the extra points from?
Excellent post. I want to see the Heat play some tough compe ion.
Well obviously that's not going to happened until the finals but at the same time you are saying the Spurs or Thunder will drop 100 every night they haven't faced a defensive team like Miami? Using the Pacers series as an argument is weak and doesn't really show anything. If Wade has another 5 point game win or lose I will leave this site forever.
The Spurs routinely waxed any East team that came to play in SA, including the Knicks and Pacers who ranked in top 5 defensive efficiency this season... they also beat Boston at TD Garden, another overrated defensive team... As a matter of fact, the top defensive teams in the west are all fishing right now...
Miami won 98-93 vs OKC 2 months ago after lost 87-103 the week before.
So they allowed 98 points per game vs OKC in the regular season. Coming playoff time when defense is always better because refs allow more contacts I would expect 94 points per game at best from OKC.
When one team averages 105 ppg and the other one averages 90ppg but both teams have a similar win/loss record it doesn't mean their games are gonna end 105-90.
If their records are pretty similar but one team scores much more it means at the same time that team allows more points too.
At the end one team is gonna score a few more and the other one a few less.
We could remember our series Vs the Suns in 2007. We couldn't score 120 points every night but it wasn't necessary because the Suns "only" averaged 100 points per game in the series.
tbh I don't put much stock into regular season results and stats, at least when the talent level is comparable. Playoff series are usually a much different story with the game-by-game adjustments designed inherently by playing the same opponent over and over. The proverbial chess match between the head coaches coaches will play a big, big part in the final two rounds of these playoffs.
