Yeah, being proud of living in a meth-addled dump of a city is pretty funny, tbh....
    http://www.examiner.com/article/best...op-50-for-2012

According to the blurb attached to the list, the criteria for making the distinguished list are: the leisure attributes (including the number of restaurants, bars, libraries, museums, professional sports teams, and park acres by population of a city); the educational attributes including public school performance, the number of colleges, and graduate degree holders), the economic factors (2011 income as well as June/July 2012 unemployment data), crime, and air quality.

Additionally, major professional league and minor league teams, as well as United States-based teams belonging to international leagues in that city were included. The greatest weighting was placed on leisure amenities, followed by educational metrics and economic metrics, and then crime and air quality.

Based on the criteria, the numbered list follows:

Guys, please take it easy on Thunderup, he's trying to bail his mom out of the pen:

Christie Harris Hides Loaded Handgun In Vagina, Drugs In Buttocks (Video)

By Michael Allen, Wed, March 06, 2013

Police in Ada, Oklahoma, recently arrested Christie Harris at the Dairy Lou Drive Inn on drug charges, but when a female officer searched Harris, the officer noticed “something strange” (video below).

“The officer observed the handle of a revolver sticking out from inside her body,” Pontotoc County District Attorney Chris Ross told KFOR-TV. “It was a five shot. It was loaded and as she turned around, she noticed more plastic baggies, larger plastic baggies wedged in the crack of her buttocks.

“It would seem to be a very dangerous place to carry a loaded firearm,” Ross added. “If it goes off, it’s only going one place.”

A police property report described the item as a “gun located in suspect's vagina” and was “loaded with three live rounds and one spent s .”

The handgun revolver and the baggies full of methamphetamine were removed from the woman’s body.

During a Wednesday news broadcast on Chicago’s WGN-TV, anchor Robin Baumgarten laughed when hearing the story.

“The old caboose pistol, everybody has one,” anchor Larry Potash said.
“Did you just say, caboose pistol?" asked Baumgarten.

“What are you getting all worked up over? Hey, don’t knock it until you try it,” Potash added

The Mavs are really pissing their fans off with the teasing lately. I mean for the past month it's been like they win 2 or 3 in a row or 3 out of 4 and you're like "so you're telling me there's a chance" and then they lose 2 or 3 in a row or 3 out of 4 and you're like "they should just give up for the season. This is just sad. The playoff run was great and the championship was awesome and will always be there. Seeing the Mavs' NBA championship banner every time I go to the AAC is a treat too.

I try to call it like I see it. THere's games the refs call too close. I hate them, even though it's always going to favor OKC, even more so than normal. Those are the games that drive opposing fans crazy. Even if its called the same both ways, KD is usually going to pick up those touch fouls a lot easier than the other player. A lot of games though, people just wanna throw out the ref card and call this conspiracy BS. Well, OKC is often times going to shoot 10-15 more FTs than the opponent, and rightfully so. Tonight for instance - Dallas is scoring in transition, some open 3's, some good passing leading to some good looks. You notice OKC really just plays hands up defense on Dallas, other than Ibaka biting on pump fakes a few times. The mismatches are pretty obvious. Even now with Dirk OKC is just playing hands up and making him hit the fade away. If Dallas isn't getting clean looks they're passing because they know they can't score easily over straight up defenders. A lot of age and a lot of lost steps on the Dallas roster. FLip it around and Ibaka is just abusing them on the boards, getting hacked on the put back attempts. He shoots 8 tonight. Carter trying to stay in front of KD is a complete joke. Nothing to do but foul him honestly. 9 KD, 9 Russ, 8 Ibaka. Thats 26 FTs right there. Game was called well too.
Yeah, right And the refs didn't miss any call on the other side like Wright getting hacked on a dunk attempt. Ibaka clearly got his wrist, easy to see on TV, but the refs swallowed their whistles. It was as obvious as it gets. And there were other examples. I do get that OKC always tries to attack the rim and thus, those players get quite some FTA's. In particular Durant and Westbrook. However, some of those calls are downright absurd. And on the defensive end guys like Ibaka, Perkins and Collison are allowed to beat the out of opposing players without getting called for a foul.

I don't recall claiming that the refs called a perfect game. You seem like another one of these people with the victim mentality. I mean look at your signature..a bit obsessed about free throws and conspiracies, are we? OKC's 30 FTs last night were nothing to write home about. Dirk and Carter are so slow they get beat off the dribble with ease and are reduced to having to hack. And for God's sake, you're playing a 210 lb man a CENTER. Of course it's going to look like he's getting the beat out of him. Don't confuse being a weak frontcourt player with getting fouled. He just can't hang.

Does Vince Carter have Mavs fans confused? You probably thought that blocking foul he put on Westbrook was BS too. Carter couldn't believe it. The dude did a 180 and put his shoulder into Westbrook and he just couldn't fathom how that was a foul. lol

Actually, I don't have any obsession concerning FT's and conspiracies. Concerning my signature it's only an answer to some Spurs fans who couldn't accept losing to the Mavs in 2006 and feeling that they got some sort of reward in the finals when the Mavs got screwed. That doesn't make up for losing after being up 2-0 though. I have no problems to admit that. Refs or not, if you're close to lead 3-0, you should be able to maintain your lead, refs or not.

The reason of being pissed about yesterday's game concerning the refs was not so much the fact that OKC got 30 FT's, but the lack of calls against OKC, like in that situation when Wright wanted to dunk the ball. But the most annoying thing about yesterday has nothing to do with the refs or any OKC player. Carlisle is a moron, simple as that. I mean, is it really that hard to draw a few plays (more than 0 in the 4th) for your best player? Dirk was on fire and Carlisle was too stupid to come up with one single play. And our PG's are driving me crazy. I don't give a damn if they somehow manage to shoot 70%. They are never able to find Dirk on the floor and they are too re ed to run a simple P'n'R with him. The last guys being able to do that were Terry and Kidd. This season, there isn't anyone.

I don't have a comment for the play you claim Wright got fouled on. I remember it, but just couldn't tell and I don't recall a replay on it. Ibaka mighta fouled him, I don't know. Not that a missed call here or there is unusual in an NBA game. I didn't really see the refs having anything to do with this game. Like I said, the 30 FTs were pretty fair. KD and Russ 9 each, Ibaka 8. Ibaka just getting hacked on putbacks. Wright's gonna get shoved around down there. He's an athletic guy, but he's gonna get abused on routine contact in the paint. OKC shouldn't be penalized because Dallas chooses to put a 210 lb guy in the paint to bang with Ibaka and Perk. Dirk's still dangerous, but defensively you saw a couple times he could do nothing but throw an arm out at KD. Same with Carter. They were screwed last night without Marion.

And to be fair with knocking Carter for ing and moaning at obvious foul calls - Perkins does the same thing.

And Brand doesn't deserve to get a damn foul call. He's not taking it to the rim. Did you see him last night..late in the game, maybe 4th quarter. He pump fakes Ibaka, Ibaka bites and goes airborne right at the rim and Brand throws it out to the perimeter! Ibaka was screwed. All Brand had to do was go up for the shot and it was an automatic foul call and 2 shots.
