There is a misconception on all these types of boards, that being that people come here for some other reason than escapism entertainment. So you want to deliver the goods. Do what makes the biggest impact from an entertainmernt perspective. I learned that a long time ago on another board.
The place was called Track & Field Media (now defunct) there they had a board similiar to this one it was....The Bleachers. There was a poster there who went by...CARLOS..yep, in caps. It was ...that damn CARLOS...CARLOS you're a prick/punk/asshole etc etc. The guy was knocking out 12-20 page threads. His threads were always at the top of the page. While everyone else were lucky to get a 3 pager going. I watched how he did it, the guy was a master. He knew human nature and worked the out of it
Well, one day he just stopped posting, then after three/four days...."where's CARLOS"....after a week...."sure miss CARLOS"...after a couple weeks..."my favorite CARLOS threads"...hahaha! He gave people a place to kick around, act goofy, fight, punch, gouge.....and they missed it and him. What he did was make it to where you're best time spent on the board was dealing with him. He knew how to light a fire and keep it blazin'.
