I'm aware of his HS accolades, believe he was an All-American too. Atleast according to La Tech fans. That's part of my point though...a guy ending up at a good Big 12 program doesn't necessarily make him better than a guy with few offers, which is pretty much what yall are implying. Young was terrible even prior to the injuries, not even sure if get his job back actually.
So do you rate Soza higher than Young and Showers ?

It's obviously relevant to the topic at hand. If they were both still back-ups at the schools they originally committed too it would be a definitive no from you. Just trying to show you that, while not as good, there's still solid football played in non AQ conferences Blakes. And that Soza is one of the best in his conference.

I like webbs height/arm/touch more, but he's just a little skinny for now. I feel like if someone lays a good hit he won't be getting up. baker has the size and footwork going, but tends to lock on to his targets for a little too long and make his throws easy to read. especially with amaro.
webb seems more prone to just make a bad decision every now and then, but overall I like him more.
Webb definitely has the better arm/accuracy, and when the line gives him time, he has shown he can pick anyone apart like a seasoned vet. Playing against UT and OU though, Baker's scrambling might be the better option.
No doubt Webb will be the starter next week in Norman, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Mayfield come in quickly if Webb is struggling and/or getting sacked and pressured.
Ideally both of these guys would be redshirting or back-ups. Which is why an intelligent, seasoned vet like Soza would do wonders for Tech tbh.
