Pretty much. People were hating on the Jim Boylen once Pop got thrown out too, cause of his rotations. Everyone finds a reason to hate. So quick to jump to conclusions
I doubt it means anything for the spurs. All of the dudes who sat out are scrubs. It's might be a sign of some kind of bottom feeder exchange of ty players for mediocre draft picks.

Thomas finally plays and I miss it. Damn it.
^ what he said.
Sucks I missed this game, I wanted to see Thomas play. Now he won't play for another year.
Dan McCarney @danmccarneysaen
Pop shut down any talk about a specific position or role for Thomas: "You're getting way ahead of yourself."
i don't know where that came from tbh, he is as bad as they come.
I'm not celebrating this one. I've had it up to here with us picking on the gutter of the league and looking like big bullies in the process but then turning into es against those that matter. Winning Wednesday would be nice of course but without Westbrook, it wouldn't be any kind of statement. No, next Sunday is when this team has something to prove vs Miami. I hope they're up to it because Miami will definitely be up for that game.
I didn't realize regular season records against "elite teams" matter in a 7 game series. My Mistake Portland and Houston are bad defensive teams.
That alone is massive blow to a deep run in the playoffs. All 8 teams that made the semi's were in the top 8 defensively. Portland, for example, is 20th.
As pop has said in the past, the regular season prepares you for the playoffs and if it's late January and you still can't beat the best teams, it's cause for some concern. Manu saying the team isn't yet ready to beat these teams is an honest admission but they have to start doing something about it. Oh and while you're out pulling stats then I guess you should know we aren't gonna have teams like the bucks to look superhuman against in the playoffs.
It's gonna take a full roster to get there, and I don't expect Pop to go bananas until then. While you do want to dot the i's and cross the t's on every game, he's not going to push Tim/Tony/Manu when we're missing two other starters. The Spurs have pretty much begun their push post-All Star break almost every season, I doubt this one is much different. Hopefully everybody is healthy by then and they can start playing their best basketball.
Easy win...NEXT!
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
Great win!
We've struggled in the past against "elite teams" it actually has little bearing in the playoffs. As long as we play well and compete Pop isn't going to be too worried about the result.
The only teams that could actually beat us are probably OKC,& GSW. Its odd really, Spurs beat a team that isn't at full strength and ST says it doesn't count. If they beat us and we aren't at full strength and ST says our record is fools gold.
You win the games you should win while you are making adjustments. That's how you keep winning 50 games a year for 15 or however many years consecutively.
well the Heat arent as good as last year, lol. They got blown out by the Whizzers too on a day LeBron promised his team would show their "defensive prowess". Breaking team records for biggest deficit after 1 quarter and .
