I'm from SoCal, and historically, LA has been a baseball town. Dodgers are very worth getting excited over. Kershaw is from another planet.

They're still holding a fine grudge here for you busing over and making in their pool. And every time they begin to forget, I remind 'em.

Cricket is just as 3rd world, as well. The Indians love that .

The midget in the middle is considered the best cricket player of the modern era.

What would Chicago have to trade to make it work? Seems like they'd gut the team.
Taj Gibson, Anthony Randolph, and Greg Smith would get it done.

I've been against Melo from day one. He's a loser. I wouldn't give him a dollar. He's a waste of space.
Well, the Laker's think otherwise. You should save some of that spit for Buss and Co.

They should call him Melo Yellow.

Melo is made for Chicago. They need a go-to offensive option. If Nate Robinson, Marco Belinelli and DJ Augustine can excel there, Melo can take over.
Only if D-Rose doesnt come back.

The perfect fit for Melo would be a strong, pass-first point guard (Billups, Paul etc) who would force him to get to the right spots before giving him the ball and lots of good rebounders to go after his misses.

Somewhat similar to the Philly/Iverson model.

Then that team would basically be the Knicks all over again. Rose is done.

Kershaw is great. But since 80s been a Lakers town. Dodgers have a great fanbase too both teams supported through up and down years. Kings have a smaller but loyal base Clips angels ducks have even smaller ones that make noise when they are winning. College wise it's u$c football and Bruins hoops.

I'd say since the 3 peat. Gibson's homer was bigger than anything the Showtime Lakers had ever done. Remember, baseball was massively more popular than basketball during the time.

It still ranks as LA's Greatest Sports Moment on pretty much ever list imaginable.

If the Dodgers win another World Series soon, their popularity will soar and LA will once again become Dodger Town.

Yep, they used to draw 3 million every year. I'd get the papers and look for the attendance figure after each game. It was unbelievable.

Just out of curiosity. Why would Knicks (EC) help Chicago (EC) get better? Case in point: the Lakers could have done way better than Odumb for Shaq. What did they do? They sent him East. Worked out really well:

    Kobe - 2, Shaq - 1
