Cowherd had Legler on his show this morn. Didnt hear the whole broadcast but Colin says Harden is great scorer not a great player. Leggs says he should finish in top 2 of MVP voting ...but he kinda agreed with Colin and said he needs to raise his level on defense. Noted that he has improved his effort but compared to James who has done that in the past ... he needs to step-up on that end shoot less so he can give more focus on defense.

BTW Legler ing sucks ...and Colin is a big market ryder ... but Harden is overrated on defense this year. he tries has been much better but he was atrocious before ...

Dude Harden has been very good on the defensive end ....take it from someone that absolutely defecated on him for it last season . He had maybe 7-8 bad defensive games but playing night in and out with injuries (he takes a lot of contact for those FTs) and leading the league in scoring and the rockets to 2nd seed...? He's not going to be early Lebron on the defensive end, thats just not realistic, and I mean even look at Kobe who was probably the most overrated defender of all time. Consistently made all defensive teams over Battier.

MVP isn't predicated on stats. It's predicated on the difference a player makes to a team in the W/L column.

In that regard, Lebron James is the MVP and it's not even close. He won't get it because of the Jordan rule, but he's it.

Lebron has been overrated on defense for at least three years. And no Lebron wasnt or isnt a TOSB but I didnt feel like separating him since he has been overrated on defense by some. Saying someone was overrated doesnt mean they were overrated to the same degree. I agree Kobe was more overrated than any of the guys I mentioned but it doesnt change the fact that Lebron has been as well. Defense is something I focused on as a player and as a coach so I tend to be very critical of it you dont agree with my assessment and feel Lebron has no flaws and want to suck him off like CN, be my guest.
