the difference is, i'm showing you how stupid this "what did he do in x quarter" evaluation method is. i'm not actually being serious in saying Flacco didn't deserve MVP. he absolutely did. he played a damn good game and deserved it. i'm not going to nitpick by saying "well in this quarter, he didn't do so good"
Don't say stupid if you're not prepared to get called on it. He played "damn good football!" besides, you know, half the game.

i'm looking at the game as a whole. i'm not going to sit there and analyze increments...

"well in between the 15 minute mark to the 11 minute mark, he was bad, but then from 11-4, he was really good... and then from 4-1, he was average"

its just silly. he had been playing a very good game and then choked horribly. no excuses for the bad throw

137 quarterback rating to that point is a pretty good game imo.

unfortunately, he was playing a pretty good game to that point... and that point is what decided the game

Disappearing for half the game and relying on flukes =/= a "pretty good game."

realistically there was 1 fluke catch by Kearse and also one horrendous drop by Kearse, for comparable yardage

BTW, it's cute how you're trying to act like talking about an entire half of football is somehow exactly the same as cherrypicking arbitrary increments of minutes.

Sure looks like you're implying that talking about the first half is the same thing as analyzing four-minute increments, Philo.

Again, that's your subjective opinion--but you have a hx of lavishing undue praise on Wilson so you really can't be taken seriously.

Btw, Flacco had more completions in his "quiet" 2nd half of the SB than Wilson had in this entire game

    ok

and Wilson threw for 163 yards to Flacco's 130 in their respective 2nd halves

he was talking about 1st and 4th quarters, not either half in its entirety

dude, get off other people's balls and formulate your own opinions

Luck could throw 50 int in a season an not one of them would be as ty as Struggle Wilsons throw. What a great way to end the game. Wilson!

and Flacco won, Wilson lost. We're also comparing Flacco's "bad" half to Wilson's good (or better) half...so again, you lose.

Luck s it up for his team much earlier. RW plays in SB's, Andrew Luck doesn't.

Compare what Flacco did in his first three seasons to what RW has done in his. That's how you do this. If you do that it's all about RW, not even close.

What is more important? A elite defense and elite rushing attack or solid WRs? You act like Luck is playing with with multiple HOF recievers? Lucks first year he had ReggieWayne 3 rookies (Hilton, Allen, Fleener) and Donnie Avery. Last year Luck was without Dwayne Allen and Reggie Wayne, oh unless you coubt Heyward-Bey and Da'rick Rodgers, and Lavon Brazil as elite. This year Luck was surrounded by the corpse of Reggie Wayne, Hilton, and a rookie Moncrief.

Your argument ing sucks, just like that ty QB Wilson.

Who the cares about regular season losses when you win it all that year?

2012 playoffs: 1140 yards, 11 TD, 0 INT, 117.2 passer rating. Beat Luck, Fivehead, Brady, and that Niners defense all in the same playoff run. And he didn't put up Lindley-caliber performances while getting bailed out by his defense like Struggle did against the Saints last year and Packers this year, nor did he get to play cupcakes like the under-.500 Panthers.

That run Flacco had pretty much s on anything Struggle has ever done in his career.

Again, you're not going to get credit for backing a 7.5 pt favorite...and you yourself have been campaigning the merits of defense and running game since you've been here--so you've indirectly acknowledged that Wilson plays with a decidedly better supporting cast.
