From everything I've read (don't watch college outside of the tourney) people compare him to Bogut. Decent offensive game (not very athletic or fluid) and some potential defensively.

Okafor gets compared to Zbo/Al Jefferson.

So basically they are getting hyped over getting the black Bogut or getting the next Big Al.

a) Lost to the en Clippers in the first round of the playoffs as a defending champion with all their key players healthy or...

b) Lakers withthe #2 pick in the lottery. Either Towns or Okafor will be paired with Randle for the next 10 years.

That's not always the case just ask Hornet fans how they felt in the 2012 draft when they got the number 2 pick. Everybody knew that draft was Davis or bust. Even flashback to the '97 and you could see how dejected the Sixers were when they got the number 2 pick.

This is going to end badly. I'll be bumping you when it's shown that Okafor (your likely draft pick) will simply be a solid 12-10ish guy and nothing more.

This ain't Laker hating. You really, really, really need athletic wings on that team to compete. And right now, the Lakers have one of the worst wing rotations in the NBA (Swaggy is garbage and Kobe is on his last legs). It's not 2005 anymore where you can just pair a couple decent bigs on the frontline and get into the playoffs.

His scoring is overrated. He took advantage of smaller, less athletic guys on the college level. His footwork is good, but not quick enough to score consistently in the league. Not a great vertical either. Towns fits today's game better with his length and lateral defense, plus his scoring is solid as well.

Well, I hope LA goes big. I think the big man FA's are where it's at this year and if LA is chasing the Rondo's more power to them. I don't love the big men in the draft and from the very limited research I have done, Russell/Muiday seem to have the most star power so I hope LA doesn't take them.

While getting a star guard doesn't guarantee you a le, it seems to help put you into place quicker. Right now LA's wings/guards are bad and if LA is picking based on helping Randle, that seems ok with me.

I would not be surprised for LA to take a guard. They seem to like to trade for their big men or do that in FA, especially with one young big man already.

My very early guess is if LA keeps the pick they take Russell.
