I'm ing worried about Cuban sending Dirk to Cleveland as a thank you.
Spurs need a 7 footer. Cavs don't IMO

A lot of people calling the Clippers sleazy, and to some extent it is, but all is fair in love and war, imo. When it comes to compe ion, you do what you gotta do. And the Clippers basically HAVE to do this, or they fall off the face of NBA relevance again.
Pretty much this--keep Lob City going or it'll be come Lost City with the resident Clipper backer going full knob slobbing on Lebron if otherwise.

Unless his feelings change Dirk has always maintained he wanted to stay with one squad. Sign him to a Wade type one year deal. Hazrd pay. And then let him pick a team-mate from next year FA ... if you dont get them at least you show you tried.

The Mavs would be in a total free fall if DJ says no. They'd have no PG, no C and no bench to go along with only Dirk (aging), Parsons (knee surgery) & Wes (achilles surgery). They would be gutted with only min level players to fill out their roster.
Honestly I'm fine with that. Losing with honor.

    Three things:

    1. Chris Paul: "DJ, come be my Blake..."
    2. Isn't this what we would expect from DJ. No one would consider him a clutch player. Poor free throw shooting is a mental problem. We all would think of him more as weak minded more so than strong-willed. This is just another manifestation of that.
    3. Basketball is part of the entertainment industry. This is damn entertaining. Especially the tweets!

I bet Cuban would still ask him, it would be an insult to tank without Dirk's approval after the paycut he took. And that one year deal would have to happen next year, not this one, since there isn't an option on the contract until 2016-17.

Quality. Agree. Not sure who I want to see get in spin mode more Doc, Ballmer or Cubes. I think I would feel the worst for Dirk though ...

DeAndre had better stay with the Clips. He will be even more exposed on a team without an all-time great PG. Mavs don't really seem like they're going anywhere anytime soon, whereas the Clippers will still be a top 5 team, likely, if they keep DeAndre on the roster.

Woj is making it sound almost done. Cant wait to hear Cubes on the afternoon show or Ben & Skin ...
The butthurt at Morey then the aplogy ...
The drunken celebration he did the day after DJ was awesome. HE was feeling so good that he validated why he broke up a le team (4 years later)

Even if you like Cubes and I do find him amusing he deserves this just like the Lakers deserve what they have for letting west leave and jerking around Pau ...it takles a while for that stink to come off but it may be to late for dirk to escape it ...

Agreed. Re-do Dirk's deal to pay him handsomely for having to finish out his career on a lottery team. He probably retires after this upcoming season anyway. Doesn't hurt your future flexibility to rebuild the roster after he retires.

LMA and Brandon Knight share the same agent, and I think the agent was doing them a solid for throwing $70 million at Knight.
See, they never have publicized that fact anywhere here in Phoenix. Not whatsoever.

    Thanks.

Bruh - what's there to ask? How could he not tank? There are literally no players left to sign except d-league guys and league min guys.

    They have no choice.

Think of the effect this move could have now. Cuban loses out on Jordan, decides to tank. Nowitzki isn't down with tanking, asks for a trade to a contender. Dirk makes about the same amount as Splitter, so if Dallas comes calling, does Budenholzer turn down Nowitzki for Tavares and a couple of picks? Now the Spurs have to either scramble to salary dump Splitter, pull their offer to Green, or pull their offer to Aldridge.
