My issue with Blatt is that he did not seem to take the Alpha role and discipline Lebron if he did not follow the Coaches instructions. What did Blatt really have to lose? He got fired anyway.

It's fine to listen to player feedback and involve them in some decisions, but once the decision is made, it's final.
There's one coach in the league who yells at a star player. That's Pop. Blatt is just like 29 other coaches.

Blatt knew the score well before this when Lebron shoved him aside. Blatt was weak and did not stand up.

That being said, it is hilarious how many people on this site relish the Blatt firing because he is a Jew.
The paranoia leaking out the anal openings is funny... Watch out, Jew in your closet at night, Jew under your bed.. Boo!

Holy , what a bunch of re ed cowards.

Lebron and Tyronne gonna have some amped up pressure now.
I doubt anyone gives a that he's a Jew. He's a foriegn coach, that's what most people see, and he's not earned his NBA wings.

It doesn't really have much to do with basketball, tbh, nothing is going to change in that respect..

Lebron is the most influential Black man on the planet, in regards to empowering his race, tbh..he's just continuing the movement..hopefully he trades Love soon, too..

Influential in a dumbass way...Tyron Lue is a piece of

Like I said upstairs, the rise of Curry & Kiwi is starting to tip people around the league over the edge as they start to come to terms with not keeping up regardless of the cheque sizes they writing.

Not really for Lebron. He's just got a brand new scape goat. He's too calculated to ever catch heat, just like his move back to Cleveland.

    - Unless they're Pop, Phil Jackson, Pat Riley or someone of that stature, NBA coaches are pretty much a dime-a-dozen. So IMO this isn't going to make much of a difference for the Cavaliers one way or another.

    - I don't think LeBron initiated the firing. From what I've been hearing Dan Gilbert was just about the only man in the organization who had Blatt's back. Not that LeBron made any secret of the way he felt about Blatt, but I don't think he went to the front office and said, "Get rid of him." I just don't think it went down like that.

I don't know. IIRC Lue is the highest-paid assistant coach in the league. IMO he was hired for just this type of situation- like, if Blatt didn't work out he'd be there as the heir apparent. If anyone here is a snake it's David Griffin for foisting Lue on Blatt in the first place.

So you don't think it's really Bron & are ok with Lue. The two guys you're stuck with. Interesting.

There were enough people in the organization that were dissatisfied with Blatt- like David Griffin- that he didn't have to be the one who pulled the trigger. I'm just saying I don't think this decision was initiated by LeBron, although I doubt he has a problem with it.

And I'm okay with Lue because with a very few exceptions I don't think coaches make a ton of difference in this league. I have nothing against David Blatt but I think you or I could have gotten the Cavaliers to 30-11 this year.

Peter Vecsey tweet - David Blatt told friends in Israel last week, "It's either me or Kevin Love." Just surprised LeBron didn't decide sooner...

It's not about letting Blatt go - I agree who cares about the impact on court (although they will probably play harder). It's about what your new coach, GM & Bron did. They stabbed him in the back and were very underhanded about it.

    hmm.

Kyrie didn't play in game 2.

Kevin Love doesn't help any team's defense. What are you smoking? Is this another HH37 troll?
You did see the ? Mark right and i meant helped offense not defense.

Pretty smart for Blatt to force his way out of town like that if true. He can run back to Europe with his full salary and get a fat paycheck there too.

Kevin Love tried to defend Blatt, but the firing came in the form of a pick and roll

I hope this sets a trend for more awful coaches getting fired, despite their teams performing well due to talent.

    Mike McCarthy- GB Packers
    Ned Yost- KC Royals
Would like to see Jim Harbaugh as the Packers' head coach.
