hey Tpark you should run for Mayor of NO![]()
I missed it and sorry I was not able to attend.
Sounds like a good time.
Scott, I was playing on Full Tilt Poker last night and I had AKd
10d, 10s and Jd flopped
Js on the turn
Everyone dropped but me and another guy who only bet on the turn, I called the $2, because I had top kicker now with my ace and I had the flush draw.
Qd on the river.
I checked, he bet $2, I went all in with my last $3.50, he called.
He had Q-10 giving him a Boat, Tens full of Queens, I had a Royal Straight Flush....my first ever.

I did not realize I had the Royal, I just saw the diamond at first giving me the flush...then I looked at it and freaked out.
I love this game!!!
Thats a hand I hit yesterday. Not as good as a royal, but still pretty damn nice!
Nice...but nobody bet with you, eh?
Too bad.
It was limit. I ended up winning a pot I put in 2.50 out of 7 bucks.![]()
A ty pot!
Wow... you guys can win with straight flushes? Ya'll are good...

Okay, I got that out of the way... pretty sweet hands. The best I've ever done is a jack high straight flush. I've dealt 4 to a royal before, and the guy who had the 5th card (don't remember what it was, this was about a year ago) folded pre-flop.
What are all of those numbers?
Almost as impressive as pulling down a big pot with trip aces over trip queens. Some intense skill involved with that!
if someone made me bet my life's vbookie on who was the most dominant poker player in spurstalk, i would have put the vbookie on Scott
Don't be bitter...
Negative, if I had started when they started I would have regulated hard on that table.
Maybe.
Nahhhh.
What do we have to do to get Poker Superstar utsagolf-er dude out for a game...
I'm calling you out Mr. Sportschick.
Those numbers are from a program called Poker Ace HUD. It reads from a database that is maintained by another program called Poker Tracker. Poker Tracker reads hand histories from varius online poker rooms. It then keeps track of every single thing that happend while that hand was played. Who raised, who called, who scratched their nose etc.
The database on it's own is great for keeping track of your play. You can look back to see if you're overplaying, if you're starting hand selection sucks, etc etc. It breaks it down big time.
It also keeps track of your opponents play and catagorizes them based on a set of rules. You can define them yourself, or go with the default. You can see how often your oppoent folds to a river bet, how often they check raise and how often they pay to see a flop along with almost every other stat on their game.
PAHUD then takes that information and lays it on top of the poker room's window, which is what you see in those numbers.
The numbers displayed show how often then put money into a pot, how ofteh they raise preflop, an aggression factor, and how many hands you have logged for them total. You can customize this as well and choose other stats to overlay. Needless to say, having that info there makes decisions a load easier.
You're like that bully in the corner of the table sitting with his back to the wall then coaxes the more feeble players into getting in for more money, after they've lost...
Oh yeah... now I remember part of why I don't like online pokere.
Which reminds me... you've got to make it to the next game, CBF...
i actually won a small-time poker game over the weekend
It was the 2nd or 3rd time i ever came out of a poker game not in the red. I won a whopping seven dollars and fifty cents. But I was still happy.
Online Poker is all about making the money, where live games are more about having a good time. Or if you're Scott, having a good time while making the money.
We need a superstars of spurstalk poker challenge. Something similar to the poker superstars format on foxsports or just a tournament with a nice buy-in $50-$100. I'll sponsor a cheap spurstalk poker braclet.
