I definitely think you are correct; I'm just not in love with all the passes he's making. If that's the gameplan, that's fine, but make some better passes.
He's had a few good early passes in transition in both games that I've liked, but off his PnR he's finding guys who already have defenders near them vs his penetration creating truly open looks.
Even if all he's doing is passing, its so disruptive that there are so many open shooters!
That is exactly what he was told by his own words.
I think he had a tendency (based on last summer league and observations from early season) to look for his shot too much. He's been told to distribute and set others up.
the jumpshot he's taken don't look good though.
