Usually, on a post-up you have a guy on the opposite block, a guy in the corner, a guy on the wing and another at the top. When the Heat ran a Lebron post-up offense, they put Wade in that spot and had Bosh and Lewis on the perimeter. But the goal is the same. Not all spacing happens outside the three-point line.

They aren't playing anywhere near their talent ceiling right now. They can be a decent D without making any personnel changes. More than half of that end is positioning and communication. They tend to be fine offensively, but they can get better if LMA is more consistent, Beli shoots better and Gasol returns.
